Seventy-third Chapter

It took everything in me to not choke on the water I had in my mouth. When I heard the unmistakable sound of shock in David's voice as he called his son's name, my eyes immediately flew in the door’s direction. Sure enough, there he was, Rain Tetra, standing on the other side of the door with a bouquet of flowers in his hands.

“Dad?"

He sounded just as shocked as his father, looking like it too. His eyes traveled to where I stood, glaring at me with a number of unspoken questions. Questions I just was not ready to give answers to.
