Kayla’s POV

I zipped through the forest before heading for the desert. I was hellbent on reaching there before noon so we could hang out and talk about our differences. There had to be a way to tackle the problem between us. He was not the villain anymore. I was.

When I reached the desert, I dug my feet into the ground, moving with everything in me as the wind battered my body at high speeds.

Everything blurred around me with my speed increasing with each second. I would not give up or give in. I would keep moving like I was not going to stop anytime soon.

The building loomed up in the distance as I streaked through the rocks and headed for it.

Using my werewolf senses, I could hear only one heartbeat in the entire building and I traced it to him sitting atop the building with his feet dangling from the top.

I boosted myself forward, moving like a blur until I entered the building, zipping to the top of the building, opening the door which led to the roof.
