Chapter One Hundred And Seventeen

Adriana’s POV

“I saw her slip out of her chair as soon as the police came in, I guess she thought they were here for her!” Gina yelled out at us.

Massimo and I exchanged glances and then turned back to look at her. “Did you see where she ran to?!” We both asked in unison and she nodded as she pointed to the back of the hall.

“She ran in that direction!” She breathed out.

As soon as she said that, Massimo and Michael ran in the direction in which she had pointed while Gina ran off to go call on the attention of a few policemen who also ran after Massimo and Michael.

“Should we go after them?” Gina asked me and I shook my head as I vividly remembered Massimo talking to me against it.

He had asked me earlier today not to get involved in their crossfire even though I wanted to. According to him, I made him a lot more vulnerable and right now, that was the last thing I wanted to happen to him.
