Chapter Eighty Seven

Athena’s POV

“Adriana, Adriana wait!” I heard Massimo desperately call out to me but I didn’t even do as much as spare him a glance.

I still couldn’t say if I was heartbroken by what I had just witnessed or not but what I knew was the fact that my chest hurt badly… and it felt like something extremely heavy was right on top of it. I felt suffocated.

“Adriana, please wait up!” I heard someone call out but I still didn’t stop.

This time, it was Michael and I could say this due to how he had sounded and even though I knew that he didn’t do me any wrong, I still could help but think that he’d known about it all along, thus, his reason for not wanting me to go with him earlier.

In anger, I stormed away from them and when I got to my own hospital room, I slammed the door shut, shrieking when it made a loud noise.

In the confines of my own room, I allowed myself to cry. I slowly slipped to the floor, wrapped my arm around my body and began to sob, shaking violently when the heart wrenching
