Chapter Eighty Nine

Adriana’s POV

“Help!” I yelled again, looking around the room frantically. I opened my mouth to yell again but as soon as I tried to shout, the door was suddenly pushed open forcefully and then three nurses stormed inside.

As soon as they saw Caden writhing on the floor with a bullet wound to his chest, one came over to pry the gun out of my shaky hands while the other two ran outside only to come back minutes later with a stretcher.

With the help of two bulky security officers, they helped him up and into the stretcher and then pushed it out of the room after helping me to a glass of fresh juice.

Sighing in relief, I plopped back into bed only to jump right back up when someone, or some people walked into the room, making a whole lot of noise as they walked in.

They were Massimo, Michael and two other people who were obviously police officers and as soon as they came in, I immediately knew that they were here as regards the incident with Caden; I freaked out.
