Chapter Ninety Five

Adriana’s POV

My head throbbed painfully. Everything was a mess! To my right was my mother who couldn’t bring herself to drop the hem of her blouse in fear that the bomb would go off if she did as much as dropped it.

To my right were Massimo and Michael who had been talking in hushed whispers for the past ten minutes now, and even though they’d been talking for a while now, I still couldn’t help but think that they both didn’t know what they were doing.

It was quite obvious that they were just as confused as I was but due to ego, they were unwilling to let it show.

Things took another different turn when Caden called back last night to ask us not to involve the police because according to him, if he noticed any strange movements, he would detonate the bomb, without care if my mom dies with it or not. I was confused.
