One of the worst things that could ever happen to a woman is for her to lose her job and marriage on the same day. This happened to a woman named Natasha Jones. She got fired because of a deadly error she made in balancing the company’s account, and on that same day, her husband gave her divorce papers because she was unable to give him a child. Natasha automatically felt out of place without a job and her husband. Fortunately and unfortunately, she finds herself making a deal with the devil in human form, Eddy Gracias, who happens to be the CEO of the company she once worked for. This deal is to get married to this arrogant and unloving man so that she isn’t thrown into jail for the deadly error she made. How would Natasha cope with this unloving man alongside her depression? She isn’t supposed to fall in love with this man but what if this happens? She isn’t supposed to have sex with him but what if this happens? She can’t and mustn’t have children for him, but what if a miracle happens?
View MoreEddy’s Rolls Royce car pulled up in front of the red carpet. Natasha gulped hard out of nervousness because it was her first time going to a red carpet, with someone well known. Eddy’s driver alighted and rushed to the back to open the car door. Eddy looked at Natasha who seemed to have zoomed out in thoughts. He stretched his hand to her and she looked at him. “It will be over in the next few hours.” He said to her, and she gulped. She bounced her head and gave him her hand. They locked their gazes after their hands touched. Eddy looked away and carefully moved out of the car. Natasha kept her hands in Eddy’s, and he helped her out of the car too. “Careful.” He said to her as she lifted her red Portia and Scarlet dress from getting under her heels. Natasha looked at him in awe, and she caught him smiling warmly at her. ‘Why can’t he be this kind all the time?’ Natasha smiled back at him, and instantly, there was rain of camera flashes on them. Eddy gave her his arm and she too
“I asked a question, and I expect an answer.” Eddy added, after Noah and Natasha refused to give him an answer. “It’s no one.” She answered and picked up her bag. “I’ll be in my room, Noah.” She said to him. She walked to the door and wanted to walk past Eddy, when he suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him. “Let us talk, right now.” He whispered in gritted teeth. “I don’t want…” “Don’t you dare tell me that sh*t. Go to my room right now. I don’t want Emma to see us fighting.” He cut her short and shot her a deadly look. Natasha gulped and yanked her hand off his. She flipped her hair and began to walk to Eddy’s room. Eddy looked at Noah and they stared at each other for a few minutes before he finally walked away without saying a word. He got to his room and locked the door behind him. “What were you thinking, hun?! Are you crazy?! Telling my brother you’re in a relationship knowing fully well he can’t know about the contract!” Eddy smacked. “I never told him
After Noah got home, he checked up on Emma before heading to his room. He slammed into the bed and replayed all he heard those he met at company, say to his hearing. “I made a terrible mistake. I shouldn’t have gone to him at all. What was I thinking? I should have at least dressed like a decent man, not wearing cargo pants and a tank top!” He grabbed his head as he spoke out of great regret for his actions. “F**k me!” He yelled and hit the bed with his fist. His phone vibrated in his pocket, and he took a pause on venting his anger. He pulled out his phone and checked why his phone wouldn’t stop vibrating. He turned it on and saw about five messages from Jeremy. “What was that about?” “Noah, why aren’t you texting me back?” “Why did you have to lie?” “Why did you run off that way?” “I wanted to thank you, but you didn’t even give me the chance.” Noah heaved a sigh and began to text back. “I’m sorry, Jeremy. I shouldn’t have come in the first place.” “Don’t say that.” Jeremy t
“So you have never been married?” Natasha started off a conversation after the awkward moment they had. “I have. Once… but, it failed. I married her because I felt I couldn’t keep dreaming of a lady that barely knows me. I was growing older, and I thought it was best for me to start a family…” He took a pause and looked at her. “Then what happened?” Her curiosity was ignited. “We didn’t love each other as much as we thought. We thought we understood each other, but clearly we didn’t. We had to part ways after a year and a few months.” “Wow. I’m so sorry, Steve.” Natasha remorsefully answered. “Sorry? You don’t have to be sorry. I’m happy that actually happened. If I was still lying to myself and still married to her, maybe we wouldn’t have met. I wouldn’t be able to hit on you like I’m doing right now. Even though you’re a married woman…” he scoffed and stood up from the chair with the coffee in his hand. “I don’t even know what I’m doing. I shouldn’t be doing this. We shouldn’
The address Steve gave her was quite different from what she expected. She thought his studio was the old abandoned warehouse he took her to, but instead he sent her another address. She finished dressing up early, thanks to Noah he was so excited about her going to see him. He was her fashion pro for the occasion. “Turn around, baby girl!” Noah said to her, feeling so proud of himself for the makeover he gave her. “Why are you so hyped about us meeting? Shouldn’t you be pissed that I'm seeing another man when I’m still with your brother?” “Oh please… who am I to judge you? My brother is a pain in the ass. You are my very good friend, you’ve even turned to my best friend overnight, so what else? You can do whatever you please. I don’t care.” Noah answered nonchalantly. Natasha chuckled and bounced her head. “Alright. I’m going to take things slow though. He seems like an Angel, but what if he is worse than your brother? I don’t want to do something I’d later regret.” “Worse th
After breakfast, Noah helped Natasha clean up the table. “You have been so quiet since my mom left. Are you fine?” Noah asked her as they began to wash the dishes. “Oh… Yes. I am fine.” She answered, putting on a feeble smile. “C’mon, even Emma would know you’re lying. Talk to me… what’s wrong?” Natasha sighed and carefully dropped the plate in her hand. “Actually, Eddy and I haven’t really talked about having children… you know…” “Oh… so that is it. Gosh, so stupid of me to think you were worried about what to wear to the red carpet.” “Red carpet? What are you talking about?” Noah rolled his eyes and shook his head. “Please don’t tell me you have forgotten about the Red Carpet event mom talked about. She said you and Eddy have to be there.” “Oh my… I can’t remember her saying anything like that. I was quite lost.” “Obviously. Well, about the baby talk. You should do that soon with Eddy. My mom is a pain in the ass, I’m not sorry to say. She always wants things to go her way.
“Hmm.” Eddy moaned as he turned to lay on his side. He felt something so close to him, it seemed like he was trapped to where he was laying. He was forced to open his eyes, and when his vision got clearer, he met Natasha sleeping peacefully. Her face was very close to his, he could feel her breath on his face. He stared at her for a moment and recalled how it went down the previous night. He heaved a sigh and sat up. He grabbed his head as he felt a throbbing pain. He had a hangover. He closed his eyes tight, trying to adjust to the pain. “How are you feeling?” He heard Natasha speak from behind him. He turned to look at her and their eyes met. “I’m fine.” He answered coldly and stood up. “I’ll move to my room now.” Natasha added, hoping he would say something about last night. “Okay.” He answered and headed to his closest to his towel. Natasha stared at him as he headed to his bathroom. ‘What was I expecting? At least, he isn’t aggressive this time. That’s a good sign.’ She
Natasha bade Steve goodbye after he dropped her in front of Eddy’s mansion. She texted Noah, telling him that she was back home. Noah replied, telling her that he would be back home soon too, that he wanted to drop Jeremy back at his house. She tried to open the door to the house and surprisingly, the door gave way. ‘So he didn’t bother to lock the door?’ She walked into the dark living room, she could hardly see a thing. She traced her hands on the wall to get hold of the light switch. She turned on the lights and she could see everywhere. Nothing seemed different until she suddenly heard a loud crash from the top floors. “What is that?” She exclaimed. Her heart was beating very fast and her eyes were wide open. She instantly recalled that she left Emma in the room all by herself because she wanted to party. She ran up the stairs and headed straight to where Emma was. She opened the door and to her relief, Emma was still very much asleep. She let out a deep sigh and gently cl
“You look absolutely stunning.” He pulled her hand gently and moved it to his mouth as he planted a kiss on it. “Same as you. If that makes any sense.” She answered with a chuckle and flushed face. “Oh yes, it does make sense. Can I sit next to you?” He politely asked, and Natasha answered with a nod. This handsome stranger walked from her back up the front of the chair she sat and helped himself out by sitting next to her. “Are you here with anyone? I need to make sure I’m not trespassing.” Natasha shook her head and let out a soft laugh. “I don’t think you are. I came here with my friend, and right now, he is so busy and doesn’t have my time.” She raised her head and looked at Noah, alongside the man that sat next to her. Noah was busy chatting and grinning like a fool with Jeremy. “Well, they seem to be enjoying themselves there. Why are you alone?” Natsha looked away from Noah and brought her focus back to the man next to her. “Well, everyone seemed busy with one thing or
The ticking, clicking and clacking of the computer keyboards filled the air in the office Natasha Jones sat in. She looked elegant in her white tank top, blue palazzo pants and blue blazer. She parked her golden brown hair in a rough ponytail, exposing her glitter earrings. She wore her Tom Ford reading glasses and kept her head on the desk. She felt so tired and wanted to sleep for just a few minutes. But how could she do this? She had a lot of paperwork and cross checking to get done. She tiredly lifted her head from her desk and looked at the screen of her computer. She picked up her cup of coffee and took a sip. All of a sudden, she heard a loud bang from her right side. She flinched and looked to her right. She saw the manager storming towards her, and she felt her heart stop when she noticed he was fuming. “Natasha Jones!” He yelled, and she sprang to her feet. “Mr. Manager!” “I need you in my office now! This time, I don’t think I can help you, Mrs Jones.” Natasha gulpe
