The dust finally settled after a few days of staying in the luxurious mansion of Mr. Sterling and it was Kendall that came to get us, her son, happy to see Kyle and me happy to see her.

"Damn, I was worried."

"I know right, me too."

"Are you okay?" She asked, and I glanced at Ryan who was standing in the room. Mr. Sterling was nowhere to be found.

"Of course."

I shrugged off her worry.

"It's time to get back to work"

I was going through my emails after a while when I saw the email. From the management.

It was something I had been expecting after the whole issue and I clicked on it.

"This is to inform you, Miss Johnson, that you've been transferred back to the headquarters. You'll be assigned to your boss once you report back to work as soon as possible."

Sh*t.

But it was all for the best, right?

After all, I wasn't sure I wanted to face Mr. Sterling again after everything that had happened. The way I had been feeling, I wanted to get rid of it and this was the best way.

I sighe
