Maxwell

I walked into the bar about an hour later, the call still ongoing in my hand as I walked past the bouncers at the entrance, and right there, by the counter, was my secretary, drunk and passed out, or so I thought until I got closer to her.

She raised her head and suddenly started crying again when she saw me.

"uhn? What is wrong?" I asked as I hurried over to a stool beside her, and she didn't answer as she continued sobbing.

I turned to the bartender in an attempt to find a reason for all this, and he shrugged. "She has been crying like that for over an hour, mentioning something about how a person dared to do something or something like that."

I thought about it.

Who could it be?

William?

Nobody answered that question as my secretary chose that time to pass out, and I paid the bill before carrying her out to my car.

There, I secured her into the passenger seat, placing her head carefully against the leather surface, and I tucked a strand of stray hair behind her ear before
