Raya’s POV
Elliot had stormed out of the room with Dru following closely behind. I could feel her desperation from the hall. She wanted Elliot to change his mind and choose her. Hell, I wanted that too. The two deserve each other, but the thought of how all this is affecting Hunter broke my heart. He didn’t deserve to be tormented like this.
“Blake, you have to help me!” I urged him, letting all of my worry at once.
“How? That liquid isn’t going to do you any good once he’s marked you.” Blake’s somber expression let me know he would be of no use to me right now. He had a defeatist attitude, and that’s not what I needed. I needed someone willing to stand, to fight, to help me the hell out.
