Dane’s POV
“Are you sure he’s going to help her?” I asked Garret for the hundredth time as we geared to head to the Lunaris pack lands.
“For fuck’s sake! Yes, Dane, I am sure!” he said with a roll of his eyes, clearly over my doubting him.
“Okay, let’s go.”
Bennett, Garret, and I strode out, leaving Barrett in charge. As we stepped into the moonlight, I felt it: a new energy coursing through me and Lucian that was brighter than ever before. It seemed to ignite us from within, sending sparks of power up my spine that set my fur on fire. I stopped for a moment, taken aback by this flood of energy suddenly coursing through us. Could this be the culmination of our moon training? Whatever it was, I was energized and ready.
