Dane's POV
I wanted to be buried deep inside her already. Garret's wake up call this morning ruined all plans to have her any sooner than now. Lucian was purring inside me, hungry for our mate as well. Her lips were puffy and swollen from my sucking on them, but she seemed just as eager for me to insert myself into her. Her arousal was thick in the air, only calling me to her further.
I pressed the head of my erection. We were dressed for the most part. Her dress bunched over her hips, only showing me her milky legs and tantalizing center. Feeling how sleek she was, I slowly inserted myself, loving the embrace of her tight walls. The sounds she made only spurred me on further until I was deep inside her warmth.
Her back arched in pleasure as she began to sway her hips over me. My heart felt full with her
Raya’s POVIf I had ever felt beautiful in my life, standing in the same room as this woman made the feeling disappear entirely. She was tall and skinny with beautiful curves, but there wasn’t an inch of weakness to her. Her muscles flexed as she crossed her arms at Garret and narrowed her eyes at him. Whoever she was, it was clear she wasn’t intimidated by anyone. Not only that, she knew she was beautiful and she flaunted it. Her shirt dove between her breast and up over her stomach, meeting in a knot in the center over her abdomen. It revealed her toned abs and her large breasts.“You’re so infuriating.” Garret huffed, clearly realizing he was not going to win.“I never said I wasn’t.” She rolled her eyes, unaffected by Garret’s words. “
Dane’s POVFor some reason, I was really nervous as I paced around my room. Raya was smiling at me, obviously amused. She had never seen me nervous before and I think she found it rather cute. She wore her white robe with silver swirl patterns throughout as I adorned a black one with the same silver pattern. It was as if she were the moon and I the starry night she sat on.Her beauty really knows no bounds. I'm the luckiest man alive to have her as my mate. I really can't wait to truly feel the goddess mate bond tonight. Our bond is already so strong, consuming me whole, but I know it will only intensify after the ceremony. I'm ready for it.“You’re going to do great,” she said, trying to comfort me. Her small hand reached for mine as I wa
Elliot’s POV“Where is she?” I yelled at the lowly wolves around me. As usual Hunter hung back in a corner, silent.“We lost track of her in the woods after she–” Brenda paused, seeming unsure of what she was about to say.“Spit it out!” My patience was low. I wanted Raya found this instant. She is mine, meant to be with me by my side. Her blessing could help this pack more than any of them know. The moon can heal curses and if Raya really is blessed, as the oracle said, then her blessing could help weaken this curse on us all.“She changed, Alpha. Her hair whitened and she began to wield magic. I was pushed back into a tree by the air itself. I am not sure what she is, but her scent changed as well.
Raya’s POV“What do you think? Should we get it?” Dane asked as we looked down at the blue sapphire necklace. It matched Amaya’s eyes so well, I thought it would make a good gift. I missed her already, but I spoke to her when I could.“I think she’d like it.” I nodded.Dane and I had woken up this morning in pure bliss. Granted, my body was hurting all over, but last night was well worth it. It was as if Dane could read my mind and give me exactly what I wanted. Now I understand why Amaya had so many hookups. Sex is amazing! After breakfast, Dane insisted we walk around and get to know the area better before my ceremony tonight. It made sense to me, as we really should know our people better. Everyone was so friendly
Hunter’s POVI watched in horror from atop the wall as the red hooded sorcerers stood in a semi circle in front of our fortress. I knew all too well what sorcerers were capable of. The vampires I once lived with would hire one often. The smell alone is enough to ward you off them. It’s the same smell as a decaying corpse left in the hot sun. I tried not to inhale too deeply, feeling my nose wrinkle at the stench as it was carried in the air.“What do you want?” Elliot yelled down. I know he was scared, feeling it through our bond, but his tone did not give him away. I dare say he sounded even more powerful than usual. It was clear that Callis was on the surface, as he had been for most of our earlier conversation. Callis is becoming increasingly stronger with every passing moon, and I know the day will soon come when I lose my dear
Raya’s POVMy grandfather, Harold, and I spoke for hours in the back of his shop. He closed early on my account, guiding me to the small room he had behind the beaded curtain. He made me promise never to take the necklace off. My father and he had worked very hard on it, and he kept it around just for me. How could I ever take this thing off? He used to be a very powerful wizard alongside my father, but he inadvertently lost his magic. He tried using forbidden magic, causing the gods to take it away as a consequence. Apparently, he is still able to detect magic in objects as well as people, and can still be affected by magical items. He just can’t cast spells or use magic himself. I felt great sympathy for him when he shared his story. I wished I could give it back. Heck, I even tried. He laughed, telling me I don’t have that kind of power. Eventually, I knew I needed to go and prepare for my ceremony, but I didn’t want to leave his side.“Go, Raya. I’ll
Harold’s POV“I finally found her, son, and she’s just as beautiful as her mother was,” I told Orion, as I stared at the picture in my small altar. His ashes were infused into the amber suspended in a crystal like state, shimmering inside like the stars in the night sky. My time with him was cut short, and so too was my time with Raya. There is nothing in this world that prepares you for the loss of your child. Although having Raya again has brought me some semblance of solace.I am very proud of my granddaughter and everything she has had to overcome. She grew up knowing nothing about herself or her parents. My heart still breaks for her when I imagine the hurt she must have felt when no one seemed to want her. I’ve always wanted her. If I hadn’t been so foolish as to think I could bring Orion back, I could have used m
Hunter’s POV“Elliot, this is madness. You can’t do this!” I yelled at him as I followed him back inside from the outrageous speech he gave the pack. Not only had he lied, but he knowingly was willing to sacrifice pack members' lives for this fight. The Elliot I once knew would have died fighting off the sorcerers rather than working for them. This is it– the moment I no longer blindly follow Elliot. "Think this through, brother, or you'll lose more than just a few lives."His growl, in response, pushed Kiaro back inside me, causing him to submit to the Alpha waves. "I didn't ask for your opinion. It's been a long time since you've called me brother, brother," he spat the word as if it were some sort of filth. "Either fall in line or become my enemy." Halted in my steps, I allowed him to wall ahead without me. His mood was sour and his mind was set. There would be no getting out of this fight. The question I have to ask myself now is whose side do I want
Raya’s POV A heavy gush of hair left my lungs as my sweet child kicked me under the ribs once more. There was barely any room for him inside me now, and I still had another two weeks to go. Training has become increasingly hard, as being pregnant has somehow tripled my powers. I guess my body wants to protect our child just as much as my heart. “What have I told you about kicking your mother?” Dane jokingly scolded our child as he pointed to my stomach, as if he could understand. I laughed, loving every moment of seeing him be a dad. Dane has spoiled me rotten, never leaving my side, carrying me everywhere, bringing me everything. I couldn’t ask for a better king– for a better mate. In this world he is more than just a husband. He is part of my soul– my literal other half. “I’m ready for him to come out, but also not. I really feel like I have no idea what I am doing. What if I mess it all up? What if I can’t control my goddess magic while in labor?” These worries have been eatin
Raya’s POV Holding Dane’s hand, I dragged him out of the orgy that had apparently started and gave chase to Nessa. I wanted to know who it was that was mated to a woman like her. Who would be strong enough to handle her? She was fast as she ran through the field and into the castle. She paused at the center first floor with her nose in the air as she scented out her mate. When she caught the strong smell once more, she headed up the stairs. I began to realize where we were headed as she turned right at the corridor and then another left. When we reached his room, it suddenly made sense. I had seen that faint white line when they had first met, after all. I just didn’t realize what it was, and neither had they. She busted that door open without a care, entering without asking. Blake’s eyes bulged out of his head as he stared at a crazy looking Nessa. Her eyes were fiercely on him, like a cat in heat ready to pounce. She was not going to be taking no as an answer, so I really hope Bla
Raya’s POV I found Grandpa with Blake, messing with things in his room. It was almost as if we had two official wizard’s instead of just one. I realized with the curse gone, and Elliot dead, would Blake want to return to his old pack. That would be something I would leave up to him. Of course, I would miss him if he chose to leave, but I would also understand. Especially with Dad coming back, we would have 3 wizards in this pack, and somehow that feels against the rules. If there even are any for that. “I need to talk to you,” I told him as I approached him, giving him a hug before I continued. With everything going on, I had yet to tell him the news about Dad. I was giddy with excitement, ready to just blurt it out. “You’ve got my attention, pumpkin.” “I had a meeting this morning with a group of gods called the Gilded Enforcers.” “The Gilded Enforcers?!” Grandpa’s eyes shot wide, seeming to know exactly who I was talking about. “Are you okay? Are you being punished? What hap
Raya’s POVI watched as Amaya tried to process everything that had just been told to her. She took a step back as she does when she needs a second longer to think. Her eyes scanned over Hunter cautiously, taking in every little feature. She was studying him, studying her mate. Finally, after about 5 minutes, she walked towards Hunter. I watched as my poor new friend stood against my oldest friend. He was scared. I could feel it from where I stood. “You’re a wizard?” Her tone was laced with deep disbelief, even though I had confirmed his story. Amaya wasn’t quick to trust, especially not someone she previously disliked. “I am.” Hunter nodded, his posture slouching slightly under her gaze. She was tearing this poor new Alpha down in a matter of seconds as she circled him, almost as if she were appraising me. “Show me,” she demanded, holding her chin as she continued to analyze him. “I don’t really know how without hurting something.” “Come with me.” Amaya grabbed his hand, causing
Hunter’s POVI tried to find Amaya last night, to tell her who I was to her. I knew witches didn’t have mates, at least not normally. Most chose a wizard to be with so that their children could still have magic. In rare instances a wolf would be mated to a witch, but in most of those cases, the witch would reject them, not wanting to lose the magic they could pass down to their children. I could understand that, but this would be different. I am not only a werewolf but a wizard, and as such, Amaya and I could have children that would still be able to have magic. She wouldn’t have to give anything up to be with me, at least nothing except the Lunaris Pack.My heart clenched at the thought of her rejecting me. I knew she hated the Eclipse Moon Pack with a passion. Without her feeling the mate bon
Raya’s POVI awoke to the sound of a light humming. It called to me like a siren in the night, leading me in a trance down the hall and away from my sleeping mate. Standing in front of a room with a black door speckled in white, I slowly opened the door, unsure of what I would find. There stood three large figures in gold, each one with their own intimidating presence. Their eerie eyes scanned over me as if I were nothing more than an ant in their wake. In front of them stood my mother alongside my father. I knew not who these large figures were, but I knew they were important.“Come inside, daughter of Selene. Your presence is required for us to proceed,” the man in the middle spoke. He was taller than the other two by a few inches. His gold skin shone as if he were painted in golden glitter. His hair was no different, spar
Dane’s POVThe fight that felt like it had taken days to finish, was finally over. Raya was safe and in my arms once more as we stared out onto the bloody field. I knew we had a lot to clean up, but for just a minute I was able to hold Raya close. The effects of the necklace that Blake had gifted me before the fight were starting to wear off, causing me to feel the insane need to be wrapped around my mate. She stared out at all the deceased, feeling their deaths deep in her soul. I knew it was affecting her greatly, especially Barrett’s.“Elliot is dead,” she whispered to me, revealing she wasn’t just hurting for Barrett. “We need to find Cruz, he’s hurt.”With just those words the need to consume her vanished, replaced by worry for the man I call my brother. We
Ch. 80Hunter’s POVI reached for Amaya, feeling myself be whisked away, but not wanting to leave her. My heart ached, wanting to tell her who she was to me. It was obvious she had no idea. I honestly wasn’t sure if witches had mates, or how any of that worked. Having just had so much of myself revealed to me, I wondered if she would accept a freak such as myself. The need to yell at Blake for taking me away from my mate was strong, only when we landed and my eyes fell on Elliot did that need stop.“Fuck me,” Blake said, letting out a breath of despair as he kneeled beside Elliot.I had never seen him so hurt before, not in all my life. Memories of us playing together, fighting one another, and growing strong alongside each other
Raya’s POVWe were whisked away into the galaxy as stars flitted about all around me. It was the most beautiful sight, but as I got closer to them, I realized they weren’t just stars. Each one had a name and they belonged to a witch or wizard, while others belonged to wolves. The stars were the magic that made every supernatural possible. They were the magic that wizards and witches yielded. The magic that helped werewolves shift. The magic that kept vampires alive. One in particular, a giant red star, called to me. I knew it to be mine as I approached its flickering light.“I thought you might be able to feel them all, but I wasn’t sure,” Dad said with a proud smile on his face. “This one is yours, go ahead and touch it.”My hands shook with nerves, unsure of what was about to happen
