Dane’s POV

“We have to go after her.” I told Cruz, feeling myself dying inside, knowing she was still with the Eclipse Moon Pack.

“We’re not going to risk the lives of all these wolves for one human woman. I am sorry, Dane. I can’t take those odds. You’ll understand more when you have your pack under you,” Cruz said, trying to place his hand on my shoulder. But I moved, not wanting him to touch me right now. The feeling stirring inside of me was ready to boil out and attack, and I didn’t want the person I attacked to be Cruz.

“Alpha Jan is ready for you, Beta. That is if you’re still wanting to challenge him,” Beta Thane told me, staring down at me from his nose, as if I were some weak wolf challenging his Alpha. I pushed past him, making sure to hit him with my shoulder on the way out.
