Raya's POV

Blake was embarrassed, which told me he knew what had just happened in this room. In his hands were a set of clothes about my size, bra and underwear included. On top of the pile sat a tub of what looked like some kind of cream, and a light pink crystal.

"What's this?" I asked him, keeping my head high, despite feeling absolutely mortified right now.

"I was told to take you to the private shower in the Alpha’s quarters. The cream is for…um..your sore areas," he said with deep embarrassment, not able to meet my eyes. "And the crystal…" he paused, turning a cherry tomato red. "It's to…uh…to help relieve you."

Now I was the one turning red. In my haste to get this moment over with I snatched the things from Blake without a word. I stepped out of the room, realizing I had no idea where I was going. When Blake noticed he stepped out and silently led the way. We were both dying of embarrassment at this awkward moment, thanks to that fucking Alpha Elliot. I will never let this

Dane's POV "Alpha, meet my brother, your Gamma," Barrett introduced me to a man with wavy light brown hair and light brown eyes. The men resembled each other greatly. "Bennet, I found him. Our Alpha has returned." Bennett and Barrett, who resemble each other closely, twins. I felt their close bond through my own. These are the men I am to work with closely. Bennett's eyes locked with mine and he smiled widely at me. For a split second I thought I saw Garret sitting in his place. My mind must definitely be overwhelmed. I shook my head as if to shake the image out of my head. "You okay?" Barrett asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just thought you were the Gamma back in my old pack for a moment. I think my mind is just on overdrive right now." I answered, as they both nodded in understanding. "Why don't you sit? I am sure this is all very overwhelming," Bennett pulled a seat out for me, allowing me to sit around a large, rounded, dark wood table. "Thank you." "Why don't you tell us ab

Raya’s POV I stepped out of Blake’s closet, feeling it safe to do so now. Blake’s eyes met mine in surprise, probably at my personal news Elliot decided to share. He let out the heaviest of breaths, making it seem as if his life just got a whole lot more complicated. Needing answers, I decided it best to just ask my questions before I was sent away. "What was Elliot talking about? What happens if a werewolf takes his mate's virginity?" It didn't go unnoticed the way Blake looked at me, as if I were the biggest problem. "Look, the mate bond is everything to them. It consumes them entirely for those first few days until the mating process is done. After that, they are still just as important, but they are able to still be their own person. They can spend time apart from each other without going mad. Granted, it can't be more than half a day before it starts to affect them," Blake started explaining, and I nodded my head, following along so far. "But when the female mate is still a v

Raya’s POV “What the hell is going on here?” Drusilla asked as her eyes narrowed on our clasped hands. We quickly let go of one another and I scrambled to come up with a lie. I couldn’t very well tell her that I felt bad about Autumn, seeing as I shouldn’t know about her. “I was telling Blake that I already have a Gamma, and he wouldn’t believe me. So I thought maybe he could feel it if I grabbed his hand.” Blake’s eyes widened, surprised to hear about me having a Gamma, but it was honestly the first thing that popped into my head. “Are you an idiot?” Drusilla asked me, sneering at me as she marched towards us. “You can’t have a Gamma, you’re a human. And if for some reason you really are Elliot’s second chance mate, then I would be your Gamma. Though, I highly doubt the goddess would torment me with such a weak Luna. Then again, she’s turned her back on us all, so why not throw another wrench in my life?” Drusilla’s rage was like the rapids, starting slow, and building crazily as

Dane’s POV “I see you’ve returned with company,” Cruz greeted us outside the pack doors. I had already linked him that I was on the way back, but I hadn’t exactly been forthcoming about Bennett coming with me. “I have, this is Bennett,” I introduced him, waiting for Bennett to come up with whatever lie he was going to say. “Hello, Alpha Cruz. Thank you so much for taking care of Dane all these years. I have been looking for him for so long. I’m his uncle.” His lie caught me so off guard I’m surprised I was able to keep my emotions in check. Internally, my jaw had dropped to the floor. He and I looked nothing alike, not a sliver, not even our scents were similar. Of all the lies he could have told, this is what he came up with? “His uncle?” Cruz looked at me as he asked, trying to get a read on me, but I kept a good poker face on. He was pulling at my emotions through our bond, but I made sure not to let them out. Of course, this only caused his suspicions to rise. “That’s what

Raya’s POV “Now what? Are you going to keep me locked away forever? Even after you reject me or find out I am not truly your mate?” I asked him, trying to anger him enough to leave. Probably a stupid plan, but it’s all I have for now. “So what if I do? Maybe I’ll keep you up here and fuck you whenever I want. Your body calls to mine. You felt it last night, just as I did.” He leaned forward with a playful smirk, closing the distance between us. I backed away on the bed, trying to make sure he couldn’t reach my lips with ease. “No, you can’t take that from me. I won’t be some sex slave kept in a tower. I’d sooner throw myself out of the window!” I snapped, because in all honesty I really would. I would never allow myself to be degraded in that way…never. “Take that back,” he growled, standing straight now. “No! I meant every word.” I sat up, staring him down as best I could. “Take. It. Back.” he enunciated each word carefully with real power behind each syllable. “I. Will. No

Dane’s POV After futile attempts to get Garret to see eye to eye with me, we left Amaya’s room. Mai stayed, deciding to give healing Garret with the power of the sun a try. I wanted to stay and watch, intrigued by the Sunfire Packs abilities, but Bennett urged me to leave. We were on a short timer and had already wasted a lot of it. He swiftly helped me pack my belongings with Cruz not asking questions about my pack or where it was. He understood that I could not answer anything he would ask.. Suddenly a howl erupted from the direction of Amaya’s room, and I knew something terrible must have happened to Garret. Bennett beat me to the room, not caring about status' enough to stay behind me. His fatherly instincts were taking over, causing him to burst into the room. Garret was curled into a ball, whimpering, surrounded by Amaya and Mai. “What is it? What happened?” Bennett asked, sounding absolutely panicked. “I don’t know. I was healing him, and then he just howled and started wh

Raya’s POV I crashed into a hard chest, but I was still so stunned from the scene before me to turn and look at who I had just hit. Drusilla was bent over a massive dark wooden desk, her breast firmly pressed against its surface. Elliot was holding onto her braid tight as he pounded into her hard. It seemed violent and intense, and yet Drusilla seemed to be enjoying it through her medolic moans and screams. I knew I needed to leave, needed to look away before I was caught, but it was like a train wreck I couldn't pry my eyes away from. Whoever I bumped into must have gotten mad at my lack of attention, or apology, as they wrapped their arm around my waist from behind. To prevent me from making a sound, their other hand clasped over my mouth as they pulled me away from the scene that would forever be burned into my mind. I didn't struggle as I needed them to take me away, seeing as I had no self control. When we were far enough away, he put me down and turned me, letting me see the m

Dane's POV We raced back to the pack lands with Garret in tow. He had told his mother farewell and whimpered most of the way here. I forget how close he is to his her. She is his hero after all. When we got near the cliff, Bennett shifted back for a moment, grabbing hold of the crystal he was wearing around his neck. He held it out, turning slowly, but nothing happened. Once he placed it around his neck again, he shifted back and jumped in. I took it as a sign to follow, nudging Garret to do the same. It made me happy to know that Garret trusted me so much he didn't waste a second in jumping off what seemed like a steep cliff. His head moved slowly as he took in the scenery. Hell, even I was still looking around in wonder. This place was not your average pack lands, and I knew there was a lot I needed to learn before I cou

Raya’s POV A heavy gush of hair left my lungs as my sweet child kicked me under the ribs once more. There was barely any room for him inside me now, and I still had another two weeks to go. Training has become increasingly hard, as being pregnant has somehow tripled my powers. I guess my body wants to protect our child just as much as my heart. “What have I told you about kicking your mother?” Dane jokingly scolded our child as he pointed to my stomach, as if he could understand. I laughed, loving every moment of seeing him be a dad. Dane has spoiled me rotten, never leaving my side, carrying me everywhere, bringing me everything. I couldn’t ask for a better king– for a better mate. In this world he is more than just a husband. He is part of my soul– my literal other half. “I’m ready for him to come out, but also not. I really feel like I have no idea what I am doing. What if I mess it all up? What if I can’t control my goddess magic while in labor?” These worries have been eatin

Raya’s POV Holding Dane’s hand, I dragged him out of the orgy that had apparently started and gave chase to Nessa. I wanted to know who it was that was mated to a woman like her. Who would be strong enough to handle her? She was fast as she ran through the field and into the castle. She paused at the center first floor with her nose in the air as she scented out her mate. When she caught the strong smell once more, she headed up the stairs. I began to realize where we were headed as she turned right at the corridor and then another left. When we reached his room, it suddenly made sense. I had seen that faint white line when they had first met, after all. I just didn’t realize what it was, and neither had they. She busted that door open without a care, entering without asking. Blake’s eyes bulged out of his head as he stared at a crazy looking Nessa. Her eyes were fiercely on him, like a cat in heat ready to pounce. She was not going to be taking no as an answer, so I really hope Bla

Raya’s POV I found Grandpa with Blake, messing with things in his room. It was almost as if we had two official wizard’s instead of just one. I realized with the curse gone, and Elliot dead, would Blake want to return to his old pack. That would be something I would leave up to him. Of course, I would miss him if he chose to leave, but I would also understand. Especially with Dad coming back, we would have 3 wizards in this pack, and somehow that feels against the rules. If there even are any for that. “I need to talk to you,” I told him as I approached him, giving him a hug before I continued. With everything going on, I had yet to tell him the news about Dad. I was giddy with excitement, ready to just blurt it out. “You’ve got my attention, pumpkin.” “I had a meeting this morning with a group of gods called the Gilded Enforcers.” “The Gilded Enforcers?!” Grandpa’s eyes shot wide, seeming to know exactly who I was talking about. “Are you okay? Are you being punished? What hap

Raya’s POVI watched as Amaya tried to process everything that had just been told to her. She took a step back as she does when she needs a second longer to think. Her eyes scanned over Hunter cautiously, taking in every little feature. She was studying him, studying her mate. Finally, after about 5 minutes, she walked towards Hunter. I watched as my poor new friend stood against my oldest friend. He was scared. I could feel it from where I stood. “You’re a wizard?” Her tone was laced with deep disbelief, even though I had confirmed his story. Amaya wasn’t quick to trust, especially not someone she previously disliked. “I am.” Hunter nodded, his posture slouching slightly under her gaze. She was tearing this poor new Alpha down in a matter of seconds as she circled him, almost as if she were appraising me. “Show me,” she demanded, holding her chin as she continued to analyze him. “I don’t really know how without hurting something.” “Come with me.” Amaya grabbed his hand, causing

Hunter’s POVI tried to find Amaya last night, to tell her who I was to her. I knew witches didn’t have mates, at least not normally. Most chose a wizard to be with so that their children could still have magic. In rare instances a wolf would be mated to a witch, but in most of those cases, the witch would reject them, not wanting to lose the magic they could pass down to their children. I could understand that, but this would be different. I am not only a werewolf but a wizard, and as such, Amaya and I could have children that would still be able to have magic. She wouldn’t have to give anything up to be with me, at least nothing except the Lunaris Pack.My heart clenched at the thought of her rejecting me. I knew she hated the Eclipse Moon Pack with a passion. Without her feeling the mate bon

Raya’s POVI awoke to the sound of a light humming. It called to me like a siren in the night, leading me in a trance down the hall and away from my sleeping mate. Standing in front of a room with a black door speckled in white, I slowly opened the door, unsure of what I would find. There stood three large figures in gold, each one with their own intimidating presence. Their eerie eyes scanned over me as if I were nothing more than an ant in their wake. In front of them stood my mother alongside my father. I knew not who these large figures were, but I knew they were important.“Come inside, daughter of Selene. Your presence is required for us to proceed,” the man in the middle spoke. He was taller than the other two by a few inches. His gold skin shone as if he were painted in golden glitter. His hair was no different, spar

Dane’s POVThe fight that felt like it had taken days to finish, was finally over. Raya was safe and in my arms once more as we stared out onto the bloody field. I knew we had a lot to clean up, but for just a minute I was able to hold Raya close. The effects of the necklace that Blake had gifted me before the fight were starting to wear off, causing me to feel the insane need to be wrapped around my mate. She stared out at all the deceased, feeling their deaths deep in her soul. I knew it was affecting her greatly, especially Barrett’s.“Elliot is dead,” she whispered to me, revealing she wasn’t just hurting for Barrett. “We need to find Cruz, he’s hurt.”With just those words the need to consume her vanished, replaced by worry for the man I call my brother. I honestly wasn’t sure if witches had mates, or how any of that worked. Having just had so much of myself revealed to me, I wondered if she would accept a freak such as myself. The need to yell at Blake for taking me away from my mate was strong, only when we landed and my eyes fell on Elliot did that need stop.“Fuck me,” Blake said, letting out a breath of despair as he kneeled beside Elliot.I had never seen him so hurt before, not in all my life. Raya’s POVWe were whisked away into the galaxy as stars flitted about all around me. It was the most beautiful sight, but as I got closer to them, I realized they weren’t just stars. Each one had a name and they belonged to a witch or wizard, while others belonged to wolves. The stars were the magic that made every supernatural possible. They were the magic that wizards and witches yielded. The magic that helped werewolves shift. The magic that kept vampires alive. One in particular, a giant red star, called to me. I knew it to be mine as I approached its flickering light.“I thought you might be able to feel them all, but I wasn’t sure,” Dad said with a proud smile on his face. “This one is yours, go ahead and touch it.”My hands shook with nerves, unsure of what was about to happen
