Chapter 10

"It's true that you were pregnant." Ava walked over to Brianna and continued softly, "But with another man's child!"

Brianna instantly lost her cool and bolted to her feet. She screamed, "What nonsense are you spouting?"

Then, as she attempted to attack Ava, she was pinned down by the police officers.

Moments later, when she noticed how absorbed I was in the materials that Ava handed me, she charged over to snatch them out of my hands. But Spencer acted swiftly and kicked her to the floor.

I was grateful that Spencer was there, or my injuries would have gotten even more serious than they already were.
