Chapter 3

Brianna sobbed miserably in front of her viewers. "Do you hear that, guys? The side chick is threatening me!"

The viewers got all worked up and left agitated comments to egg her on.

No matter how desperately I fought back, I was outnumbered. Brianna instructed some of them to haul me into a car.

Just as I was about to ask where they were taking me, Brianna produced a rag to blindfold me. I slowly lost consciousness.

By the time I regained consciousness, I found myself in what seemed like a karaoke room with dim lighting. My face and body stung with pain.

There was a group of over 20 people in the room. They circled and stared at me when they noticed that I had come round.

Amidst the crowd, Brianna was still streaming with her phone pointed straight at me.

"Oh, you're awake now?" Brianna appeared excited to see me awake.

"Is this the homewrecker you were talking about, Bree? That bag that she's carrying is worth several hundreds of thousands. Your boyfriend didn't buy her that, did he?"

"Oh, what a shameless woman! Did she really get Spencer to buy her such an expensive bag?"

Before I could even get my bearings straight, I heard several people from the crowd berating me aloud.

Hang on, did they say Spencer? Was Brianna's boyfriend that they were talking about my brother, Spencer Crawford?

I had indeed heard Spencer mention that his first love, whom he'd been waiting for all these years, was finally coming back to Vireslo. He had even made a dinner reservation at the best rooftop restaurant in the city to introduce us to each other tonight.

But from what I heard from him, his first love was a gentle, understanding, sweet, and nice young lady! How could she possibly be the vile and malicious Brianna?

But I recalled how pitiful she looked in her live-stream earlier today, and I couldn't help thinking to myself that this woman was far more than what met the eye.

I looked her in the eye and enunciated each word clearly, "If the person you're referring to is Spencer Crawford, the CEO of Everbright Group, I suggest you let me go right this instant. I'm Spencer's sister, and he'll make every single one of you pay!"

The room fell silent momentarily before they all burst out laughing. Brianna guffawed as though she'd heard the greatest joke of the century.

"Are you finally admitting to having a relationship with Spencer? What age are we in now? Are you still trying to play the fool with me? I've known Spencer since our college days, and he'd never mentioned anything about having a sister!"

Without even giving me a chance to explain myself, Brianna held my chin in a vise-like grip.

She said viciously, "I told Spencer that I'd be on a flight back to Vireslo this afternoon. He initially agreed to come and pick me up, but he bailed on me at the last minute today. He claimed that he's got an important meeting he couldn't afford to miss. I say he's going to the music festival with you, isn't he?"

I forcefully turned my head away and exclaimed exasperatedly, "I'm going to the music festival with my best friend! How delusional are you to put together such a story?"

That seemed to piss Brianna off as a venomous look appeared on her face. She turned to a few of her friends beside her and instructed, "Go and bring it in! I'd like to see how much longer she'll run her smart mouth!"

Upon receiving Brianna's instruction, several of the women ran out eagerly.

My heart sank as a bad premonition came over me. I feigned calmness and tried to reassure myself. I warned her, "What are you up to, Brianna? If you try anything funny, Spencer will never forgive you!"
