Chapter 2

I was anxious. If nobody noticed that I was locked in here, I might miss the show. As Ava had already entered the main area, she wouldn't be able to come out now.

I called out loudly, "Is anyone out there? Help me!"

"Don't panic. We'll let you out when the time is right."

Was there really someone out there? I was so happy I nearly jumped for joy. Thank goodness I'd be able to get out!

But what I heard next caused me to freeze on the spot.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here's the side chick that I'll be dealing with today! Don't worry, I have friends keeping guard outside, so no one will be saving her even if she screams her lungs out!"

Side chick? Since when was I anyone's side chick? Besides, this lady sounded like the live-streamer, Brianna, that I'd been watching on my way here!

I shouted out through the door and explained, "You've got the wrong person! I'm no side chick!"

I thought that things would be alright once I cleared up the situation. Surely, they'd let me out once they knew that they'd gotten the wrong person!

But I heard a woman's voice say angrily, "You shameless woman! You homewreckers are always kept in the dark! No man would ever publicly admit that you're his side chick! If Bree hadn't been smart enough to send someone to shadow you, we'd never have found you in such a short time!"

"Quit wasting time talking to her! What's the point in conversing with a tramp?" Brianna interjected.

Seconds later, a pail of cold, stinky mop water was dumped on me, drenching me from head to toe.

I shivered and choked reflexively as the water entered my eyes, mouth, and nose. I felt light-headed. My make-up, which I'd spent two hours on, was ruined, and my wet hair stuck to my face as water dripped off them.

Who would have thought that Brianna, who looked innocent and harmless in the live-stream, would have no qualms doing such a heinous thing? Even if this was a mess up, they were too much!

I shouted, "Are you crazy? I told you that you got the wrong person! Can't you hear me?" I banged on the door with all my might, trying to push the door open.

All of a sudden, the door swung open from the outside. I lost my balance and fell face-first on the floor. It hurt so much that I blacked out for a moment.

"This is what you get for intruding in other people's relationships!"

A few mocking laughs and a torrent of curses and insults soon followed.

Just then, my phone, which had fallen to the floor, began vibrating. Ava was calling me. I pathetically crawled over in an attempt to pick it up, but one of Brianna's friends got to it before I did. She turned my phone off and tossed it into a toilet bowl.

Brianna pulled me up by the scruff of my neck and pointed her phone camera at me.

"Look here, guys! This is the vixen who stole my boyfriend! She's so young yet so shameless! Since your parents never bothered teaching you right from wrong, I'll help them do the honors and teach you a lesson today!"

With that, a slap landed on my cheek.

The live-stream viewers were exhilarated to see the so-called side chick being hit.

"Yeah! Teach her a good lesson! Homewreckers deserve to be beaten up!"

"She's such a shameless woman! Walking around in that short skirt in broad daylight! Tsk! Though I must say, she's got quite a hot figure!"

"This should serve as a warning to all homewreckers!"

I was all worn out from the continued assault, but I mustered all my energy and explained helplessly, "I honestly never intrude on anyone's relationship! You've got the wrong person! You better stop all this now, or I won't let you off!"
