Chapter 7

I cut her face with the scalpel knife. It did not take long before blood began pooling up around the open wound.

I was surprised to see that her blood was red; I had assumed it would be black.

I kept going, cutting her face at least a dozen times. Not a single part of her face was left intact.

All of her previous arrogance was gone. Now she was pleading hysterically.

“I’m a victim, too! It was that ugly pig who deceived me! I’ll pay you to make this even! Five million, ten million. How much do you want?”

I snapped at her, “The worst thing a person can be is not to be just stupid, but to be both stupid and evil.

“I told you again and again that I am Devin's wife and that there must be a misunderstanding. I asked you to verify your facts, but did you even bother to listen?”

I picked up the scalpel knife and jabbed it ferociously between her eyebrows. However, I stopped at the very last second, so the tip of the blade hovered inches from her.

She shrieked, then passed out.
