Chapter 6

Devin had Amora and her friends locked up in an abandoned factory.

Their hands and feet were bound. They were made to sit on the floor, planted against the wall.

The factory door pushed open, and Devin wheeled me into the factory in a wheelchair.

As soon as she recognized us, Amora began to threaten Devin. “Devin, how dare you do this to me for this shameless bitch! My dad will never let you get away with this!”

Devin declared sharply, “That’s my line. I will never let anyone get away with hurting my wife.”

Amora cussed him out. “Devin, you’re a scumbag! I didn’t love you for two years and spent tens of millions on you just so you could turn around and betray me!”

Devin wheeled me right in front of Amora before stopping. I gave her a look filled with condescension before addressing Devin, “My dear, it’s time for her to find out the truth the hard way.”

Back in the hospital, Devin had told me about his investigation.
