Chapter 20

It took her a while to finally open her eyes and the first person she saw was Richard sleeping on her side. It was a beautiful feeling that there was someone who was by her side and that she was never going to be alone.

She lifted her hands and caressed his hair softly.

Richard felt like he was dreaming while something was touching his hair. It couldn’t have been Emily because she was in a deep sleep. So he continued sleeping but the touch on his hair couldn’t stop, anyway he loved the feeling.

Suddenly he remembered that he has slept for a while and needed to check on Emily. So he lifted her head up to stare at the most beautiful brown eyes ever. She was still pale and swollen all over but all the same looked as beautiful as ever.

“Emily, it is so nice to finally see you awake. You scared the hell out of me. I told you not to go there but you insisted. Do you see what have happened to you?”
