Chapter 25

She was even more surprised to see a fairly beautiful lady alighting from the car and she recognized her too. Rose was Toby’s mother and also Ben Foster’s sister.

She never liked her very much and now that she was looking at her, Emily saw the scornful look that she gave her.

“What happened here?” She asked looking at Emily.

Emily just stood transfixed on the ground wondering if there was a problem. She knew that they were going to use her as the scape goat and she was ready for all of them.

“The taps in the construction site were left open all night long and the water have soaked the area destroying the initial work that was already done” Ben explained.

He had been woken up early in the morning to come and see what has happened. He was the first one to arrive at the site but wondered why Emily wasn’t there already.

“The only one responsible for this is none other than Emily. She is nothing but trouble and I knew from the very beginning that she will start to show her true colours.”
