ALIS P.O.V
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” I groaned.
“You broke the elevator.” Matthew said in an accusing tone.
“Me!?” I replied insulted.
Matthew chuckled and looked at me in an amused way.
“I’m just joking Ali. Relax.” Matthew said in assurance.
“What if no one comes to help us.” I asked in a panicked tone.
I started pressing the alarm button that is supposed to alert emergency personal and let them know the exact elevator and the location of it, but the freaking button wasn’t working. Nothing was working, and soon I just started pressing any button. Including the buttons that had the numbers on it too. Anything to get out of here.
Matthew rolled his eyes.
MATTHEWS P.O.VToday was the day Sam, and I had a meeting with the Hotel manager. As Sam, Ali and I stepped out of the car, we walked into the Bienheureuse Hotel. This hotel was one of the finest and most exquisite out of all the thousands of hotels I’ve been to. Sam made a great choice of choosing this place. They weren’t cheap to the average person. We, on the other hand, are far from average. “Wow,” Ali said in awe, as soon as we stepped into the posh hotel. “Now that you work for me; you will be able to stay in places like this,” I said towards Ali.“How does working for you, give me that opportunity?” Ali asked with a raised eyebrow.I gestured towards myself, &ld
Matthew P.O.V“So, you’re telling me that she just ran out the hotel?” Mike asked in a shocked tone.I rubbed my jaw and nodded my head in response to Mikey’s question. Today, Mikey and I are in the car and headed to a children’s hospital to go over the arrangements for the fundraiser. We were also going to meet a few of the children that are speaking. I had Ali stay back at Lexon Corp and Sam wasn’t feeling well. She claims she had the twenty-four-hour flu. So, we took the two little boys to Ali’s place and they’re with Dillion and Dina.Sam still refused to tell Ali and I why she reacted the way she did; when the little girl told us her last name yesterday. No matter how much Ali and I tried to get her to tell us, she didn’t budge. She stayed quiet as a mouse. The only time she spoke in a happy tone, was when s
Matthews P.O.V“We’re here sir.” Said Will, interrupting my thoughts of punching my friend in the face.I groaned in irritation and wipe my face. I don’t know if Mikey is telling the truth about Mark and Ali. Right now, I don’t even want to dwell on the fact that he might be telling the truth. If he is, then Ali will be working overtime, because I absolutely will not allow her to go on a date with him. I stepped out of the car after Will opened the car door. I straightened my black suit and walked towards the hospital. Mikey followed wordlessly behind me and smirked when he saw the irritated look on my face. He knew he got to me, and I doubt he will tell me if he was serious or not. Mikey was known for being a troublemaker, but we all still loved him nonetheless. The Hospita
(Back at Ali’s Place)DINA’S P.O.VI was bored and I wish Ali and Sunshine would hurry home. I can’t wait to go back to school tomorrow. Today is the last day of my suspension. For once in my life, I’m wishing to go to school. Mom would be so happy if she knew I felt this way. It’s so awkward with Kyle and Zack here, and Dillion is no help either. He left me alone and is now in the kitchen, talking with Mark. I have no idea why he’s here and I have a feeling that Sunshine will not be okay with it, once he finds out. I sighed and continued to watch TV while I drew on my drawing pad on the ground. It was one of the things I love to do; the only problem was that I wasn’t good at drawing. I was very bad at it.“What are you doing?” asked Zack.
Matthews P.O.VSeeing Mark, as well as saying his name, puts a bad taste in my mouth. He looks bad and smells bad, and that means he must be bad. I wish Ali would listen to me when I warned her about this man. I know everything and my mother says I’m the wisest man among my peers.Ali walked forward to give him a hug. It didn’t miss my attention when I caught Dillion trying to silently slip out of the kitchen with his crutches. It’s hard to not notice him leaving when his crutches are making squeaking noises against the kitchen floor. I wonder how he feels about Mark. I cleared my throat and quickly stopped their hug.“Matthew.” Greeted mark with a hand to shake.I looked at his hand and ignored it; choosing to nod my head in greeting. Ali looked at me and rolled her eyes at my rudeness. Accepting that I wouldn’t s
Matthews P.O.VWhen we arrived at Lia’s, and ordered our food, I made sure to tell the waiter to have soup made to go, before we leave. I don’t know if Samantha has eaten dinner yet. I told her that I would have one of my maids watch over her, but she denied my offer and demanded to be left alone. Claiming that she didn’t want to get anyone sick, saying that it’s best for her to be left alone. I feel like she’s hiding something, but I’ll tackle that another day. We ordered our food and when it finally arrived, the boys eagerly began to eat.“We like it here. Our mom used to bring us here when we would come to New York.” Said Kyle.I was a bit surprised.“When was the last time you were here?” I asked.“A long time ago, before ruby was born.” Zack
Matthew P.O.V“Come on Matthew, let’s go outside. You and I need to let these two solve this themselves.” Said Mikey.Mikey walked outside the door and I stepped out with him; shutting the door behind me. We were not the only two in the hallway.“Explain. Now.” I said, emphasizing every word with seriousness.“When Sam and her family would take trips to Russia, Sam would go with them to the events they attended there; instead of staying in their vacation home in Russia. Since Igor and his family went to the same events, they ran into each other and became good friends. This is back when we were all kids. I mean a very long time ago; back to when Sam and I got along.” Mikey explained.I knew about the trip she used to take with her family when we were kids, but Sam hasn’
ALIS P.O.VDinner went well; I was happy that Dillion and Dina got along with Mark really well. I was bummed that Matthew chose not to stay. I hope the two boys had a good meal for dinner; if we had come home sooner, then maybe Matthew would have chosen to stay. I’ll ask him the next time I see him. I laid on my bed after being freshly showered and closed my eyes. I looked at the clock and saw that it was near midnight; I was exhausted and looked forward to going to sleep, as soon as I stepped through my apartment front door after work.Ring!Ring!Ring!I groaned and picked up my phone, without looking at the caller ID.“Hello?” I answered in a grouchy voice.“Ali, it’s Matthew.” He answered back.
