Chapter 5

Once we got onto the dance floor the DJ started playing music again. He played a slow dance for our first dance together.

Lyall bowed before me and then took my hand and waist and started to dance with me. I looked up at his in astonishment. I never knew someone so dark could have such manners and be so lovable towards someone. Then again I am his mate he can’t help but feel love towards me.

After the song was done I took Lysol’s hand and started walking over to where my family was sitting.

“I want to introduce you officially to my family.” I smiled up at him.

“I would love nothing more than that.” He smiled back at me.

Once we approached my families table I introduced everyone to Lyall.

“Lyall this is my mother, Syliva and you already know my father, Reginald.” I smiled at my parents.

My mother stood up from the table and hugged Lyall, “It’s so nice to officially meet you Lyall.”

“The pleasure is all mine Mrs Dunstan.” Lyall hugged my mother back. “Mr Dunstan I wanted to apologize to you for how I acted earlier. I promise I would never intentionally hurt your daughter. She is my mate and I would NEVER want any harm to come of her.”

My father shook his hand, “Please keep her safe. She is my only daughter and my oldest child. She is my everything.”

“I promise sir.” Lyall reassured my father.

“Those are my younger twin brothers, Marcus and Lucas.” I pointed across the table to my brothers who were goofing off.

“Boys! Knock it off and come meet your sisters mate.” My mother scolded them.

They both groaned but reluctantly stood up to come meet Lyall.

“So you’re the Dark Wolf?” Marcus stated.

“Is it true that you took someone’s head off just for looking at you?!” Lucas enthusiastically said.

I rolled my eyes and covered my face in embarrassment.

Lyall laughed and shook both of their hands. “Yes I am known as the Dark Wolf and that rumor is only half true.” He winked at my brothers.

Both of them looked shocked but also were intrigued to know more.

“That’s so cool!” Both of my brothers enthusiastically said at the same time.

My mother shook her head embarrassed as well but Lyall only just laughed.

“I’m so sorry for my brothers. They’re….annoying.” I shook my head.

“I have two younger siblings as well, I get it.” He smiled down at me. “Speaking of, let’s go introduce you to them.”

Lyall then turned to my family, “if you could please excuse us if like for Azura to meet my family as well. I can’t wait to get to know you all more.” He smiled.

“Go ahead you both have fun! We’ll be here.” My mother smiled and gave us hugs.

Lyall walked me over to the other side of the ballroom to where his family was sitting.

“Azura I’d like to introduce you to my father, Arthur and my step mother, Talia.” Lyall said pointing to his mother and father.

Talia stood up and gave me a hug, “It’s so nice to meet you Azura! I hope my boy has been treating you well so far.”

I felt Lyall stiffen up by what she said so I grabbed his hand and smiled up at him.

“After we all calmed down he’s been nothing but a gentleman to me.” I smiled at him and squeezed his hand to reassure him.

“Oh good! I know he had his moments but what but doesn’t?” Talia joked.

I smiled at her in response.

“Azura I’m so glad to have you become apart of this family!” Arthur smiled.

“I’m honored to be a future Greyback.” I smiled back at him.

Arthur turned towards his other children and called them over.

“Azura this is my sister, Lydia, and my brother, Embry.”

Lydia ran up to me and gave me a hug, “Oh my gosh! I finally have a sister!”

I laughed and hugged her back, “I feel the same way. Having two younger brothers is pretty annoying.”

“Ugh! Tell me about it! I have an older AND a younger one.” She rolled her eyes.

Lyall rolled his eyes at his sister.

“Nice to meet you sis in law!” Embry smiled at me.

Lydia was a couple years older than me and just turned 21, she hasn’t found her mate yet. Embry is 17 almost 18. He hopefully would be finding his mate soon.

I smiled back at Embry, “It’s nice to meet you too.”

Lyall and I stayed and talked with his family for a little bit before leaving to go find Raven and Wyatt. We found them over by the dessert table.

“Raven and Wyatt, I’d like to introduce you to my mate, Lyall.” I smiled at them.

Raven gave him her typic death stare, “You hurt my best friend and I’ll hunt you down!”

Lyall laughed, “I would hope as her best friend you would hunt me down. But I do promise I would never in a million years dream of hurting Azura. She is my mate, I vow to protect her.”

“You better, or else!” Wyatt threatened.

“How about this, if I ever hurt her I will hand myself over willingly to you both to do as you please.” Lyall said.

Raven and Wyatt looked at each other and all I could do was cover my face and shake my head. My best friends were crazy protective of me. Even my own father did interrogate Lyall.

“Deal!” Both Raven and Wyatt said.

All three of them shook hands on it as well.

“You guys realize I am right here and can defend myself too!” I pouted.

All of them laughed at me.

“You guys are unbelievable!” I rolled my eyes.

We all laughed and talked for a bit before heading to the dance floor.

The rest of the night went without any other problems. Many people came up to us and congratulated us on finding our mate.

As the party started to die down I noticed it was only our families and Raven and Wyatt left at the party. We all planned on spending the night here so we stayed up a little longer dancing and having fun mingling.

My mother and brothers said their good nights and went to bed. It was 2am after all. Lydia and Talia also made their way to their rooms. They needed their beauty sleep as they called it. Embry followed shortly after to go to his own room too.

All the was left was our fathers, Raven, Wyatt, Lyall and myself. While our fathers were talking business at their own table, the four of us sat at a table chatting and telling stories.

Around 3am Arthur and my father said their good nights and went to their rooms. Shortly after they left Raven and Wyatt also said their good nights.

Lyall and I sat there holding each other for a few more minutes before getting up and heading to bed ourselves. We walked hand in hand down the hall to the elevator.

“Thank you for an amazing night Lyall.” I smiled up at him.

“It was definitely eventful.” He laughed.

Once the elevator made opened to the 6th floor where the hotel rooms were located at, Lyall and I slowly made our way to my room.

“Which room are you staying in?” I asked.

“I’m in room 620.”

“I’m in room 619! We’re right across the hall from each other.”

I didn’t want to leave his side but I also was scared to be alone in a hotel room with him just yet. I’ve never been with alone with a boy before. I know he’s my mate and it’s totally different but this was all so new to me.

“Would you like me to stay with you until you fall asleep? We don’t have to spend the night together if you don’t want too. I know this is a lot and I have never spent the night with anyone either. I can sense you’re nervous and I don’t want you to feel forced to do anything you don’t want to do Azura.” Lyall reassured me.

It meant a lot to me that he was totally okay with not spending the night together in the same room.

“I’m not sure I’m ready to spend the night alone with you just yet but I would like for you to stay until I fell asleep.”

We got to my room and I unlocked the door. I turned a few lights on and grabbed my night time bag and my night clothes.

“Do you have to use the bathroom before I go in and get ready for bed?” I asked.

“No I’m good go ahead and get ready. I’ll be right out here waiting.”

I smiled at him and went into the bathroom. A few minutes later I walked out in my nightgown ready to go to bed.

Once he saw me in my nightgown his mouth dropped open and he couldn’t take his eyes off of me. I got shy and crossed my arms over my body.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. It’s just you’re so gorgeous even when you’re not all dolled up.” He tried reassuring me.

“This is the most undressed I have ever been in front of a boy before, other than my family.” I blushed.

I walked over to the bed and got in. I patted the spot next to me to have him come lay down with me until I fell asleep.

“Are you sure?” He asked.

“I wouldn’t have patted the bed if I wasn’t sure. Plus what would be the point of you being here sitting over there while I’m trying to fall asleep.” I laughed.

Lyall got up and took off his shoes and jacket. He made his way to the bed and crawled in next to me. I got comfortable and cuddled up next to him. He put his arm around me and held me.

It felt so good being in his arms, it felt right. Not long after we starting cuddling I fell fast asleep in his arms.
