Chapter 16

“You know about the prophecy?” My father asked me.

“Yes I do father. The Moon Goddess herself came to me while I slept and showed me of this prophecy to help guide me into the right direct so I can fulfill this prophecy.” I looked at him.

“At least she believes telling me will help me instead of keeping it from me as a secret!” I yelled.

I started sensing a whole bunch of different emotions all of a sudden. They were coming at me from all directions. I looked around and realized I was sensing everyone who was around us. I’ve never been able to sense anyone else’s emotions as strongly as I am feeling everyone’s right this second.

*What’s wrong?* Lyall linked me.

*Do you not feel all of the emotions around us right now?!*

*No I only feel yours. Why, do you feel everyone’s emotions?*

*Yes! Every single one!*

Lyall gasped and let me go. I turned around and saw him kneeling at my feet.

“What are you doing?! Get up!”

He slowly stood up and looked at me in awe.

“I’m so sorry for how I’ve been acting my queen.” He bowed his head and kissed my hand.

“Queen?! What are you talking about?!”

Lyall then took a step forward and announced.

“I’m sure you all know of the prophecy. What you know is only part of the prophecy. There is more but my family for generations have worked hard to get that part taken out and lost in history.”

I looked at him confused.

“You all know about the Greyback curse. Every one of use aren’t able to find out mated until we’ll after our 18th birthdays. Only the first born son will be given the Dark Wolf curse along with the death of the mother who bore this child.” He looked at me with concern.

“There’s more to this curse and prophecy than that! Once every Blue Blood Moon a Dark Hearted Wolf and a Pure Hearted Wolf are mated. The Dark Hearted Wolf is obviously always the Dark Wolf cursed Greyback son.” He looked at me again. “This year the Blue Blood Moon rises again and I have been mated to Azura, the Pure Hearted Wolf.”

“If she cannot help me control my Dark Wolf she will die giving birth to our first born son just as my mother did and every other has in the past. If she does help me great power is awarded.”

“Yes we just learned of this, are you telling me theres more to it?” My father asked.

“Yes….” Lyall kissed my forehead.

“My family has made the rest of the prophecy disappear because no one has ever been able to tame the Dark Hearted Wolf. None of the past Pure Hearted Wolves have been strong enough. But I strongly believe that this time around will be different. It’s said that once the Pure Hearted Wolf destroys the darkness in the Dark Hearted Wolf, she becomes the Alpha of Alpha’s. The very first wolf Queen. One who rules above all and bows to no one.”

I gasped, that would explain why I was able to get everyone to stop and bow to me. But I have to broken the curse yet so I still didn’t understand how I was able to do that.

“I haven’t broken the curse though. How was I able to get everyone to bow to me?” I asked.

“Azura, like you’ve told me before. You’re stronger than you think. You being an Alpha’s daughter helps but your heart is the purest ever to be known. When the witch cursed my family centuries ago, they never thought it would be possible for such a pure hearted wolf to live. That is why they made the curse that way, they thought it would never be broken. Our Moon Goddess has shown them otherwise through you. She has even shown herself to you, I have never read or heard of any story of the Moon Goddess herself showing herself to a living wolf before. You aren’t just any normal wolf my love. You are destined to be the Queen of all Wolves.” He smiled at me.

“Then what does Jay have to do with all of this?” I asked.

Everyone turned to Jay to see what he had to say.

“Oh forget this. I can’t keep pretending. I don’t want you. I never have wanted you. I’m only doing this because I was told if I didn’t they would kill my mate. I got a letter stating if I didn’t kill Lyall and take Azura away my mate would die.”

I got angry once I heard that. I got so angry everyone around started to whimper and show their knocks to me.

*Azura honey, please calm down. Your authority is so strong you’re hurting them. Ha! Look I’m the one flaming you down now* Lyall linked me.

I started to laugh and everyone was able to relax.

“Sorry. Didn’t mean to hurt you all. Not used to this Authority.” I looked over at Jay. “Who sent you this note?”

“I don’t know but I really shouldn’t have done this. I haven’t even met my mate yet so I have no idea how they would even have her to do such things.” He shook his head.

“So the battle isn’t just between me and you trying to get your Wolf under control. There are other parties out there who don’t want this curse to be broken.” I looked at Lyall in shock.

“It would seem so.”

“Jay, leave and never come back here. If you get another note phone us instead. Next time you pull a stunt like this I will punish you.”

He bowed to me, “Yes I apologize I shall never do such a thing again. I will leave now and never come back unless I am asked to come back.”

Everyone started to go back to what they were doing before Jay showed up. My father and mother walked over to me still looking at me in shock.

“So it’s true? My daughter is destined to be the Queen of all Wolves?” My mother asked.

My father ran his hand through his hair. “I knew of power being awarded but I had no idea it was THAT kind of power.”

“Not only does she have to help me control my anger and defeat the darkness in me. I also have to help her control her power. I will have my best friend bring over all of the scripts and books my family has on the whole prophecy. Her power isn’t anything anyone has ever dealt with. I have only read up on some but she is already so strong and not able to control it now. We have to work together as a family to keep her from losing control. Not only do we have to fear of my darkness, her power is much stronger and she could kill herself if she can’t learn to control it.”

I looked back and forth from my parents to Lyall. I was in shock. Everything was finally hitting me. I couldn’t believe it. I was to be the Queen of Wolves. My head started to spin and I felt everything start to go dark.

Lyall looked over at me and I could see he was talking to me but I couldn’t hear him. Next thing I knew everything went black as I was falling.

*dream*

The same bright light woke me as before. I knew the Moon Goddess was coming to see me again.

“My daughter. You have taken in so much the past few days. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you the whole story of your future. I am only able to say and interfere to a certain point.”

“I don’t understand why all of this is happening to me. I’m nothing special.”

“That’s where you are wrong my daughter. You are very special. No other wolf has ever had the power you have inside of you. You must be careful of this power. Do not let it get to your head. Just as Darkness can bring you death, this power can as well. No one has ever had the kind of power you have. You must learn to control it before it takes over and destroys you and you yourself become darkness. You may be the Pure Hearted Wolf but everyone has some type of darkness in them. Don’t let it take over and destroy you. You must work together with your mate to help each other. That is the only way you both will survive and fulfill this prophecy. Just as you are his savior, he is a yours as well. You help him guide his light back into him as well as let him guide your darkness away from you.”

“Do you really think I can do this? I’m so scared. What if I fail?”

“Being scared to fail is normal my daughter. I would be worried if you weren’t scared. Do not fear too much though. I will always be there guiding you on the right path as best as I can. If at anytime you need me, all you have to do is close your eyes and think of me and I will come if I am able too. I have worked hard for many centuries to break this curse and you are the only one that has come this far to breaking it. I have so much faith in you that you will defeat this curse and live a long happy life with your mate. You both deserve it. Lyall as bad as he is deserves to finally have relief and happiness as well. Only you can bring him and the future Greyback’s that happiness. Stay strong my daughter and never lose faith in yourself. You’re stronger than you think.”

As soon as she finished her sentence the bright light came back and she was gone.
