Though I had excused myself, I lingered at the kitchen door listening to their conversation.

My heart skipped a beat at Draco’s revelation. His brother could come after the child or Kaya. I felt instantly giddy and pulled a chair to sit on. I rubbed my tummy and I felt the baby kick powerfully at my touch. I couldn’t let any harm come to them.
