Chapter 101

LORRAINE'S POV

“That was fast,” he chuckled the minute I walked through the door. “Did you by any chance miss me?”

“You wish!” I retorted, walking to the edge. I stared down, watching the students troop in and out.

“What are you doing up here then?” He asked and I looked at him.

“I want us to talk about last night,” I said. He took a long drag of the cigarette. I walked towards him and pulled the stick out of his mouth.

“You should seriously stop smoking. Don't you have people that care about you?” I asked, crushing the cigarette.

“I do but they are all dead,” his answer made my body stiffen. I looked up to meet the seriousness on his face.

“I'm sorry about that. I didn't know,” I apologized.

“You don't have to apologize. Just don't crush my cigarette next time,” he said, taking out another stick.

“If it means you getting angry at me, by all means, do. I won't let you kill yourself slowly. This is a very unhealthy addiction,” I stated, snatching it from him once again.
