LORRAINE'S POV

“Chloe, can I sincerely ask you something?” I asked when we got to the manor.

“As long as it's not about why I'm mad at you,” she said. I bit my lip. Even though I was curious about that as well, it wasn't the reason I wanted to talk to her.

“The twins… Do you think I should give them another chance?” I asked her. A frown settled on her lips.

“What?” She huffed. “Don't tell me you are even considering that. To the best of my knowledge, they are still engaged and they haven't even given a logical explanation for it. They treat you like you don't have a mind of your own. They don't check in with you before doing anything, they just do what they want and expect you to go with it,” she said.

I hated how true it was. The twins were mostly selfish and inconsiderate. They didn't care if they were right or wrong, they just left me to deal with it.
