JAYDEN'S POV

“We need to talk,” I said after we successfully blocked his path. He looked at us with agitation.

“I don't have time to waste on an unproductive conversation. If you want your woman, you know where to find her, leave me out of this,” he stated.

The audacity of this wolf. He wasn't even a match for one of us yet for some reason, he wasn't afraid of any of us.

“This concerns you actually,” Jordan stepped in. “Before we start, what is your name? You seem new.”

He glanced at his watch.

“Hector,” he clicked his tongue. “You have to hurry up with whatever you're going to say. I'm going to be late for my afternoon shift and the Alpha won't take it easy on me.”

“Yes, I work as a guard,” he responded without an iota of shame.
