LORRAINE'S POV

Chloe's hostility to me was shocking. Sure she was the Alpha's daughter and we had no business getting into any form of relationship.

I shouldn't feel betrayed in any way but that was exactly how I felt now. If she wanted to cut me off, why did she have to befriend me in the first place if she was going to cut me off like this?

It broke my heart and made me feel a lot more terrible than I was supposed to. Today the twins and Hector fought over me and now Chloe was ignoring me.

I didn't want to agitate her more than she already was. I could hope that it was just a transfer of aggression and not the end of our friendship.

The next day, I went to see her after my chores. I was hoping we could go to school together as a means to rekindle our bond.

She was coming out of her room when I met her.

“Good morning, Chloe. You're up early today,” I smiled but she simply walked past me like I wasn't there.
