"Take the kids to safety Korra." Alpha Gerald said, staring at his two daughters as they waited at the end of the room, covered with a cloak.
"No Gerald, I need to come with you." Gamma Korra replied, tightening her grip on her sword.
He leaned closer to her, then slightly pecked her forehead, before walking out of the room along with his sword.
She knew what her husband was trying to say to her. He was the alpha, and her husband. The man responsible for their safety.
As she watched him leave the room, a tear fell from her eyes, before she turned back to stare at her two angels, Ava, and Diana.
She rushed towards them, and then bent to their level.
"Mama, are you crying?" Diana asked with a worried look, while using her palm to rub clean the tears on her mother's face.
While Ava was 14, and strong enough to shift into her wolf form, Diana was a frail looking 9 years old girl who was mostly considered as weak by everyone except her mother.
"No baby, I'm not." Came her mother's voice, before a peck was placed on her forehead.
Korra shifted her gaze from Diana to Ava. She had to do this- leave her kids to go fight side by side with her husband. If he was going to perish as an Alpha, then she would perish as the gamma of the white lake pack as well.
"Baby." She said to Ava, reaching for her tiny hands.
The young kid was always bold even in dangerous times just like her father. She saw the position of a future Alpha in Ava's big green eyes, which was the only personality she took from her father.
"Protect your sister Ava, promise me." Korra said, with a broad smile, staring deeply into her daughter's eyes.
She was really hesitant to leave her two angels, but she had no choice, as the pack's gamma and Luna, she had her duty to play as well.
She picked up her sword from the floor and stretched it towards Ava. "This belongs to your sister. When Diana turns 18, you must give this to her to open her gate of energy and unleash her powers."
"Yes mother." Ava replied.
Just immediately, Gamma Korra's eyes turned blue as she could sense upcoming danger.
She leaned closer to Ava, and gave her a quick light peck before tucking them both into a tight hug.
"I love you both." She whispered.
She stood up, and walked towards the bed. Gathering the bedspreads, and tearing them into single long pieces strong enough to hold her daughters.
"Come here." She said.
"Diana, get on your sister's back." She instructed, and Diana did as told.
Handing the tip of the torn sheet to Ava, she gave her daughters one last goodbye smile.
"Be strong Ava, and protect you little sister at all cost. Be the alpha your father and I always dreamt about."
Diana's warm blue eyes fell on her mother because she knew absolutely nothing of what she was saying.
"Now run, run and don't look back till you find a safe place to be." She yelled.
Ava held on tight, and jumped down the window, sliding in pain with Diana on her back. It hurts so much, but she held in the pain.
Holding the long bed spread pieces very tight to ensure her babies are down to safety first, gamma Korra felt a sword pierce straight into her heart, but she didn't let go.
Blood gushed out, making her release one hand to stop the sword that was diving deeper into her heart.
Satisfied that her babies are safe, she fell down roughly on the floor to take her last breath, as she could feel her husband was gone as well.
She had failed as a mother, but not as the gamma of the white lake pack. Her eyes immediately fell on the sword Ava had left behind.
Before she shut her eyes, she outstretched her hands towards it, and gave a command.
"Never unsheathe till your real owner finds you." She commanded her sword before finally shutting her eyes.
"It's time for the auction, bring the weak one first. After she's auctioned off, then we'll find a buyer for the stubborn one." A young woman in yellow heels, along with heavy makeup and long lashes said to the two strong men holding a frail looking girl, and a stubborn one as well. The stubborn girl with blonde almost white hair struggled to break free from the grip of the men holding her down on her knees before they would take her sister. She bared her fangs, and made them sink into the arms of one of the men. But, unfortunately she was flung away by him before crashing her back on the tough long iron pole nearby."Let my sister be Nakura, she'll be of no use to anyone." The stubborn one yelled.Nakura gave a malicious look in return, taking steps towards her."Every buyer demands a weak slave these days, and your sister will do just fine." Nakura replied, before giving her a resounding slap, turning her face as white as the snow with blood oozing from the corners of her lips and n
Diana didn't stop running, at every path she took, she turned to look back for fear of being followed. The look on her sister's face when she was being stabbed kept reoccurring to her as she ran. Even breathing fast and hard, she didn't stop running because of her sister's words not to stop.Just suddenly, she tripped, and immediately fell onto a hard stone ripping a part of her toe open. A painful wince escaped her lips as she shut her eyes to endure the pain. More tears fell out of her eyes the moment she heard some strange footsteps getting closer to her."Oh please! Please not now." Diana cried out in a mumble to herself, tightening her grip on the soil while staring at the direction the footsteps were coming from. She shut her eyes for the next second. "One, two, three ,four, five." And calculated the number of people who were heading towards her.Her heart leaped every second when she felt their closeness to her, and she silently prayed they wouldn't be bad people.Shutting her
"Help me, please help me." Diana whispered weakly and ran to hide behind him, while pulling his shirt."Stay back, and don't come closer." He said, just immediately. When Diana touched him, she could feel fear in his golden eyes.Slowly loosing all hope that she would be saved by him, Diana wanted to step away from him and return back to the hands of her captors when he felt her little movement."Stay back, and trust me young lady." He whispered to her."I'm not after you. I just want the young lady." One of her captors said."What are you doing? You'll get yourself killed." Diana replied, but then she felt his hands on hers, holding it so tight that it made the fear in her vanish. Apart from her sister, Diana never felt safe around anyone else. But, this feeling of hers was so new. She felt so safe, so secured, and warm. Her heartbeat had slowed down to it's normal pace, and because of that, Diana let out a smile."I'll offer you ten times what her buyers is offering." He said.Diana
"You'll be staying here."The only thing Diana could do was to nod her head in acceptance. She needed time alone to herself so she sluggishly walked in.This was certainly a new pack that she didn't recognize, but she had heard a lot about the Crescent pack and how powerful it was. The only advantage was that she would be safe here. When she suddenly thought about her sister, tears brimmed the corners of her eyes. "Don't talk to anybody here except I tell you to." She had no choice. He was now her master so she only had to nod her head. The room was big enough at least more than she had expected. "I'll have some maids serve you soon." She sat on the soft bed, and watched him walk out of the room. Her body was bruised seriously and she was looking ill and tired. For days she had been running and trying to escape the wicked hands of fate, but finally it caught up with her. She had no idea how her life in the Crescent pack would be like without her sister. She laid down on the bed and t
