Chapter 88: Almost Reality.

Lilith's POV

My memories were a blur, but my sight was worse. For the first few seconds after I opened my eyes, all I saw was hazy white substances floating about.

Gradually, it cleared, and I not only saw clearly, I also remembered all that happened. For how long was I gone? An hour or two, maybe. I wasn't sure. The sun was high in the sky and the heat of the afternoon filled the room like a stubborn little baby who wouldn't stop sucking its mother's breast.

I sat up on the bed, its softness like a cloud, wrapping me in its gentle embrace.

I scanned the room for any signs of Adams or Ronan. A frustrated sigh escaped my lips as I found no one, not even a strand of their hair floated past.

They were probably at a meeting or attending to pack matters. Jealousy crept up my soul as I wished Adams was by my side instead.

“You are being selfish then,” Lex scolded me, making me feel even sadder than I was.
