Eva: My family views me as a taint to their bloodline. The disgrace without her Wolf. "You are a big disappointment!" Father would always spit. "Yuk! You irk me!" My younger sister would curse. Then he suddenly came into my life and became my shield.. my comfort.. my love.. my strength.. my confidence that my life would not end up bad after all. That it would turn out better. Only for me to realize that he… he came to use me too. Came to take advantage of my intense yearning to be loved.. to be accepted.. to be cherished by another.. before he Rejected and dumped me after shoving his true intentions on my face. Now I'm back. Back from where I ran to find solace for my wounded heart, and I saw him. He is back too. Back to where it all started. And he… he wants me back?... Why?... Is the damage he did to me years back not enough? Does he want to break me finally now? And… he… he says I'm his Mate?... Daniel: I just wanted to woo the weak link of this evil Man and save my kingdom. She was the most vulnerable, she would be easier to penetrate, so I did what I had to. After all, he did the same to get my family too… my kingdom… My plans worked out perfectly. I had won. Made her fall for me and got what I needed. But I later realized that she was not the only one that fell. If she fell hard, I fell harder…

My heart was racing against my chest. It felt like I was being hit severely by a thunderstorm. I wish I had sharp senses like the others. That I could defend my family in this time of chaos.
"Don't worry, Eva, everything will be fine," Nessa whispered to me as we hid in the emergency underground room of the palace. She was my best friend and the next Royal Beta of our Kingdom.
"You should be outside, defending the pack," I muttered, tears brimming heavily in my eyes. I have never felt as helpless as this before; not even when Father locked me up in the dungeon for days without food.
The palace was under attack and as if not being able to help wasn't enough, I had to be protected by Nessa when she should be helping the pack. Maybe Father was right, I am just a burden. Useless…
"Please don't, Eva," Nessa said, wiping off the tears that were racing down my face now. "I would give my life for you and you know that."
That statement. Only one person had told me that before. The one who gives me a reason to hold on to life. Dennis… the love of my life. "Thank you," I muttered as she lay my head on her chest. I allowed the comfort of her arms and Dennis' comforting words race back into my mind.
The quick open slap of the door forces me to snap my head around while Nessa adjusts at alert. Two hefty Men badges into the room with a blood-thirsty menacing look in their eyes. The Lycans…
"So this is where the Little Princess hides…" They laughed before a wicked grin played on their faces. They were about to advance towards us so Nessa pushed me behind her before taking a defensive stance, daring them forward.
"Don't you touch her!" A familiar voice growled before his intimidating figure came into view. My heart started to race in distress as I stretched above Nessa's shoulder to see. Dennis… no! He shouldn't be here. They will kill him. They are too huge for him. Yet I didn't miss the way they obeyed.
"Traitor!" Nessa yelled at him and I couldn't stop the frown that laced my face. What is she saying? "We trusted you!" Nessa barked out again, still maintaining her stance, ready to fight.
I so badly wanted to oppose her. Dennis is not a traitor. What had he done to deserve such? I knew him better than myself. I could bet my life that Nessa was just paranoid.
Maybe the Lycans suddenly attacking our kingdom was getting to her head, but I couldn't let her know about my secret affair with the palace guard. It might complicate everything. They might consider him a nobody, but he was my world.
"Go with these Men and I will spare the Little Princess," Dennis spoke. A foreign coldness that I hadn't seen evident in his voice. I pushed off the strange feeling pulling on my gut about all this. I am sure he is just putting on an act so that we will be alone.
"You have no choice, Nessa. The Pack is already surrounded and the Palace subdued, so you better heed my instruction or face the consequences." His warning voice came again. I didn't miss the way those Men stood behind him. Like he was their Mast… no. I'm sure he has a perfect explanation for me. Dennis always has.
I could see her resistance with all this. But the way her eyes flashed made me realize she was receiving mindlinks which made her shoulders slump in defeat. She turned towards me, a defeated look in her eyes.
"She will be fine. Now go!" Dennis ordered again and my heart clenched. I have never seen him act so harshly. Like ever…
Nessa tugged on my fingers and I pulled enough assuring eyes I could to help her ease up as she drew further away from me. I would surely scold Dennis for treating my friend so harshly. It just wasn't necessary.
When they had left and I was left with him in the little faintly lit room, I advanced and hit his chest hard as I always playfully did. "Was that really necessary?" I hissed before laying my head on his chest to calm myself. I wrapped my hand around his torso like I always did for a few seconds but the lack of response from him caused a void to grow in my heart.
Was he angry? "Hey! I'm sorry. I didn't really mean…" I tried to say as I tightened my hold on his body but the way he dragged me off him dumbfounded me.
I found myself on the ground with a hard thud on the cold concrete floor. The coldness of the floor and confusion because of his actions caused a cold shiver to run down my spine. What had I done?
Tears were now brimming in my confused eyes as I looked up at him from the floor. Multiple stabs hitting my chest all at once. He has never acted this way with me.
I could see that my tears, which he had sworn made him stay up all night wanting to take its cause away, did not affect him now. Coldness… indifference… that was the only expression in his emerald green eyes.
"Now that I have gotten what I wanted. I think it's time you knew the truth. As it is, I'm tired of putting up this act already." He slugged, bending to my level. I was too dejected to speak. Too shocked to make sense of what was going on.
"My name is Daniel Swarv and not Dennis Greystone as I told you. And if you have a Brain in that your head, maybe you will figure out my kind and rank without being told." He snickered, strengthening himself on his feet.
Swarv… that surname only belongs to one family in Woodland. The Lycan royal family. Is he?... No…
"I came into this palace because I wanted to seek information to bring the Alpha King down and take back the Halo your kind uses to threaten us powerful Lycans to submission. And thanks to you, My Little bird, I did." He grinned wildly. An evil victory glint present in his eyes. This is not Dennis. It can't be…
His huge hand grabbed my chin, forcing me to steady my fleeting attention on him. My heart was racing with confusion, unbelief and hurt. Tears pouring down my eyes. There was no remorse in his eyes. A proud smirk played on his lips. He was enjoying all this. Enjoying my pain.
"Don't cry, Little bird." He pouted as his huge hand grabbed my face and I sniffed.
"You were the weakest link I could easily penetrate to reach your Father, so I did. Don't get me wrong; I don't have anything against you since you are practically human and not like those mutts. It's just… politics. I hope you understand. Thank you for being a valuable help anyway. You have served your purpose, so I don't need you anymore. You were just a pawn to me and for your own benefit, no one will know about our Little affair, okay? That's your reward. " He took his hand off my face and left me there to wallow in my own pain and foolishness.
Everyone was right. I'm just dumb and stupid. How could I not have known?...
"I was coming in a minute," he tried to explain but I just pushed him back with my palm on his chest lightly, locking the door behind us. "You are already done eating? I'm sorry I had to…""Shh," I said, pushing him flush against me and slamming our lips together. I could still taste the thick whiskey on his mouth and I realised I distracted him so he hadn't brushed yet and this makes it more exciting for me since It's an opportunity for me to show him that I would delightfully kiss him no matter how he tasted."Let's just say I want to have something else for dinner tonight." I whispered against his ear, holding his gaze as my hand tugged on his towel. His eyes were filled with lust and excitement just like mine as I kept leading him back to the bed with backward steps and my hand on his chest. His cock was already straining his towel, doubling my own excitement and quadrupling my arousal.I pulled his towel away, instantly pushing him into the bed and straddling his nakedness. He gr
A noise inside the room drew my attention to see Sneha staring at us with wide eyes."Oh, I'm sorry," Sneha almost stumbled with the tray in her hands. "I didn't mean to intrude." Snapping out of my daze, I went to help her but Hectar, or I would say, his Lycan now on the surface, held firmly to my wrist not letting me go for even a second. She was out of the room in an instant and shut the door behind her. I could feel my Lycan pushing me to take control but I held her back, no way I'm letting this spiral out of control. His hands wrap around my waist, leaning down to capture my lips when I pull away, still trying to wrap my head around what exactly was happening. I watched hurt play in his eyes before Hectar pushes forward again. "I'm sorry," He said, "My Lycan must have… I'm leaving now." He turned to leave but I held back his arm."Hectar, wait," I knew my stepping back hurt him as well and he will think I'm probably rejecting him because of that."Hear me out okay? Don't assume."
Miranda PovIt had been two weeks since we ended Nashita and Aaron's plans and rebuilt some of the damaged houses and Malls of our territory after the honorary burial of our dead warriors and compensation of their families was done.I had felt more empty inside when I felt my final tether with Edward slip away after his death and a huge void grow heavily in my heart. Normally, Hectar's presence and friendship would have been my bedrock in this hard time but he had gone along with Reymond to an emergency foreign assignment since his trusted Men happen to have died in the confrontation, so Hectar was the only one less busy enough to follow him to it right after the next day of the war.So I have practically not seen or heard from him ever since, which didn't make me me happy because he was practically the only one I had been able to rely on completely for so many years and his absence happen to really dial in on how much he meant to me more than I had realised when he was around. He init
"I'm sorry for the awful ways I treated you, Eva. Please forgive me, Sister." A nostalgic feeling washed over me remembering how she cried like a baby when she was just five years and I found her hidden inside the wardrobe when Greg unintentionally left her over at school and went off with his friends thinking that Lisa had picked her up already, leaving her there till late at night when we went out to find her.In fear, she had jumped into my arms exactly like this when I found her before everyone and sobbed heavily.I felt warmth over my heart and tears beginning to form in my eyes. "Please…" she said again in her usual childish voice she always used on Lisa when she wanted to get her to agree and let her have her naughty way.I chuckled causing a tear to slip down my eyes. I placed my hand on her silky long blonde hair. "It's fine, Anisha, I Forgive. I had forgiven you a long time ago.""Thank you," she sniffed, tightening her arm around me and I moved my hand caressing her hair and
"You will be fine, Father, everything will be alright." I tried to sound strong, hoping that I could use my healing abilities on him.He shook his head and smiled sadly and in pain. The several bandages on his chest were already getting soaked with blood and the life I felt living in him when I pressed my hand against him to try and restore him told me that he was not just blasted in his heart, but he didn't want to live. He was not fighting it. My Father was not fighting something for once in his life."Father, you can do this. Please just fight this." I begged, desperately trying to channel my healing energy in him though I was already so drained from restoring Daniel and had only so little left. But he was not accepting it. It was like his body was rejecting my powers. I didn't understand. I was confused and frustrated. I didn't know that someone could refuse receiving the healing energy being channelled. I never saw it in the book about Volcono Lycans Mum gave me to read."Let it g
Eva"Here I thought you were as powerful as I saw in my vision but it seems I was mistaken. Or maybe you haven't gotten full access to your power." She laughed hysterically before her torture increased, becoming unbearable. Her eyes flashed to pure black as her bulbs of energy became fiery the more it zapped out from her hand. "I will just have to take your powers then, you won't be needing it now.""You will never win!" I spat in anger feeling rage and pain fill me because of my failure once again. I was supposed to be the one with the highest advantage of strength and power, yet here I was under this godforsaken witch, feeling just as useless as I felt that night of the attack five years ago.Maybe I am not what was said I am. Maybe Mother was mistaken when she said I was the most powerful creature in the shifter's world currently. I was a failure and this was proving it.The bolt of life I felt leaving me made me hopeless the more I tried to trash against her magic but my whole bod
I wanted to make sure that whatever happened, the next generation of Lycans and werewolves were preserved and that is exactly what we are doing.I could feel a rush of dread that ran through me the more we advanced closer. It was obvious we were getting closer to Nashita and her herds with every passing thud of our paws on the ground as we sped in our Lycan form towards their direction while still keeping Eva's voice active in my mind. Hearing her somehow gave me courage and empowered my beast to dive into what could be our possible end of everything goes haywire but the desire to still fulfil that 'forever' promise we made to each was a pump to the fighter in us. We would not die. We would fight with our whole life. The added thud of not just our warriors in full speed with me, but the noise I could now hear coming from the ravenous beasts approaching us was a testament that it was about to go down, and go down fast. Dust splattered on the ground as our large purrs brushed the now sa
DanielWe had been preparing for close to a month now trying to get ourselves ready for whatever is coming our way while trying to use as many gifted Lycans as possible to trace Nashita and Aaron's hideout and possibly take them by surprise, attacking them before they attack us. But we haven't been able to do so. It was like their layer was protected by a powerful impenetrable shield that Amaya called Blood magic.Apparently, Aaron had been using his powerful Lycan blood, as a Swarv bloodline, to mix with their magic and create powerful spells and enchantments while also creating those horrible beasts he called his creations. Which explains why his eyes had turned from its normal Lycan black to a mixture of Crimson signalling his long use of magic mixing with his blood and making him ten times more powerful than he was before. We were however able to figure out when they were preparing to attack, leveraging Eva's power of sight and Liam's instincts."Come in," I said, rummaging through
EvaToday we welcomed the pups and Nana from the orphanage back at home who Daniel decided to bring in using the Jet and assign the old Mansion as a dwelling location until everything back in the Werewolf territory was calm. A cloaking spell was also doubled where they were and safety guilds were put in place to checkmate everyone's movements for the next few days.Meanwhile we have been going for meetings with the Alphas and the Lycan territory Gammas on how to deal with what was happening and it has not been going well for days now. It was like everyone of our plans were being leaked out and us finding the Alpha that was working with Aaron and Nashita using my power of sight actually confirmed it.We were able to convince him of safely bringing his pups back and I was able to bring about cooperation with the Alphas by using my Alpha voice and Lycan authority to calm the situation showing them that I had both beasts and therefore not out against either.Today's meeting has actually tu
