Lucas

A sharp knock on the door made me jerk upright from the bed.

“Lucas, I’ve—” Reagan poked his head through the door.

“Alpha Lucas,” I corrected gruffly, irritated by his presence already.

I caught him rolling his eyes at my words and glared at him. “Alpha Lucas, I've news from Alexis. She has it on good account that Sarah is pregnant.”

I turned my head sharply, feeling a slight pain, as I sized Reagan up, trying to gauge his mood. Was he drunk already? That was a side of Reagan that I was getting accustomed to.
