Selene

“I have news from Stormclaw pack, reaching me.” Lucas’ loud voice filled the room.

He had summoned my father and me into his study room— every part of the house was controlled by him and my father made no fuss about it, much to my annoyance.

This was the first time Lucas was seeking our presence in weeks.

“What news, Alpha Lucas?” my father’s timid voice irked me.

He wasn’t always like this. When I returned with Alim, he still had control over his house and guards. But over the months, his influence had weakened, his voice barely audible in Lucas’ presence.

“Something is going on in the Stormclaw pack,” Lucas informed us from behind my father’s desk. “Changes are being made and the guards protecting the mansion have been doubled… tripled… if I'm to go by what I'm hearing. We need to be certain.”

My father glanced at me, seeking support, but I just shrugged. If he wanted to say something, he would have to say it with his own mouth.

“How strong is the intel? This could be a trap
