MICHAEL'S POV.
I sat quietly on the couch shaking the glass of wine in my hand, my mind still clouded with guilt. I still couldn't believe Allen talked me into this evil act, it wasn't because I was righteous, I was the complete opposite. My name was Micheal but I was known among the billionaires as “The drug devil”. I was a drug dealer, one that you shouldn't mess with…one that valued money more than family. I was someone who sent shivers through people's spine, there was no single person that crossed me and never lived. I had everything, the face, the looks, the aura, the money, the power…everything was at the tip of my fingers, there was nothing I couldn't do or get. But how did I end up here? Let's rewind… I killed a family, from the father to his two-day-old child, he was a cop…yeah, I never feared authority, he messed up a deal and I lost fifty million dollars because of that, but after that, it was like a whole was left in me, I felt empty…this wasn't the life I wanted for my son, so I left. Yeah, I left the multi-billion-dollar projects I have built, in search of a better path, maybe a redemption, how pathetic, even my face disgusts God. I had my first kill when I was five, and since then killing has become a hobby for me, a fun sport. I didn't know what I was thinking when I decided to let everything go, in search of a more better and righteous for my son, I guess the family did win after all, well… I guess that was until Allen called me. “Micheal,” Allen called, taking a seat beside me. “Guess who is not getting going broke.” “Where is my money, Allen?” I asked coldly, taking a sip of my wine. Allen scoffed getting up from his seat. “I have sent the money to your secretary.” I smiled picking up my phone. Allen was a sick bastard who seemed to have one basic principle, cheat your way to the top, he would do anything for fame, money and power, people might say we are the same…we are friends though, but Allen was on another level. “Do you really have to do this?” Allen frowned. “Call your secretary to confirm if the money went through.” “That is the more reason to check, because you are my friend,” I forced a smile getting up. “Now to the question, did you have to make me do that?” Allen paused biting his lips. “C'mon man, you already got the money, it could help you start a new life, outside your drug money.” “Did you cheat on your fiancee? You said that you won't kill her…” He interrupts. “I didn't,” he snapped. “I didn't kill her, did I? She survived the accident just like we had planned.” “Did you plan to kill her from the onset?” “Oh please, stop this your self-righteous acts, don't act like I did anything wrong, you wanted the money and I gave you twenty million dollars.” I growled, slamming him in the wall. “This is not about the money Allen, why did you make me pretend that I was fucking her? You told a different story and I heard another.” Allen forced a smile, his eyes locked with mine like magnets. “How about we talk about this later.” I slowly let go of him, fighting him was not a good idea, nothing good would come out of him, and I needed to find answers myself. Allen took his phone out, a small smile flashed on his face but was quickly replaced with a frown, and he quietly walked away. I gulp down the remaining wine in my glass before following Allen. Something tells me that it must be his mistress that he left to see. Allen walked quietly into the room, it was my girlfriend's bar, so no security dared stop me, I just followed Allen straight inside the room. “How did it go?” I heard a young lady's voice. It sounded like my girlfriend Joan but that was impossible, she was visiting her grandmother for the holiday. “Guess who isn't getting a breakup,” Allen laughed loudly. “That bitch thought she could just break up with me and leave me broke, that was a wide idea.” “She would be at your mercy…it's only a matter of time before you are the one heading The Rodriguez's group,” the lady added. “So you did cheat on your girlfriend?” I snapped coming inside the room, my fist clenched in anger. “Micheal,” Allen called. His mouth open in shock. “You shouldn't be here.” “You were the one that cheated on her and you made me frame her, do you have any idea the damage you have caused, no…that I have done to that innocent woman,” I paused, turning to the lady. “Who are you?” I questioned walking closer to her. “Joan?” I called. The lady turned to Allen. Her face was covered with a mask. My anger flared up immediately, I couldn't believe that Allen's mistress was my girlfriend, the mother of my son, not only was he crazy enough to drag me into an evil plot but he had the guts to share a woman with me. “Joan?” I scoffed at Allen. “So you cheated on your fiancee with my girlfriend? I have been played by the two people I consider family.” I said, reaching for my phone. “What are you saying?” Allen snapped. “This isn't Joan…why would I be sleeping with your wife?” “Then ask her to take off her mask,” I shouted. “She can have the voice but not the face.” Allen turned to the lady. “I am sorry but she can't, this isn't Joan and that is what matters…what are you doing?” I moved closer to the girl but Allen stepped in the way. “She is my mistress…nothing more.” “I can't believe you actually have a mistress…I am putting an end to this charade…I am calling that Old man to explain that his granddaughter didn't do anything.” Allen rushed to me. “C'mon man, we are family, you don't have to do this….” “What was your gain? This isn't about you being left broke…you have always wanted to take control of The Rodriguez's group and I foolishly helped you, Allen you know my principles, you don't mine gold in another person's territory.” “Fine,” Allen blurted out. “Don't make the call, I would talk to Maria myself.” “I really don't want to get blood on my hands right now but your mistress has to go and you would pay for using me in your sick plan,” I turned back dialing a number. Suddenly someone walked closer to me, she fell on her knees. “Please don't kill us,” she pleaded, but before I could respond she zapped me with a teaser and I fell down…everything slowly went blank.MICHAEL'S POV. I opened my eyes slowly as I looked around me. The last thing I remembered was the lady with Allen knocked me out. I couldn't believe he could do this…after everything I have done, and sacrificed for him, he was beyond redemption, when I see him I would make sure I cut his legs off. I looked around, I was placed in my car, I tried opening the door but it was jammed, I scanned the surroundings hoping to find someone who could help me, but it appeared that I was on top of a cliff. Why would they bring me here? Were they planning to threaten me or kill me? Either way, I would make sure the two of them pay for everything they have done.“You have woken up,” I heard Allen's voice, I turned to the screen attached to my windshield. “Allen,” I smoldered, clenching my fist in anger. “You little bastard… when I get out of here….”“I would rip your limbs apart and feed them to my dogs,” he interrupted, rolling his eyes. “C'mon Mike, we both know you are no longer capable of t
MARIA'S POV.It was a bright morning, the sun shining at its peak, casting a beautiful glow through the hospital glass, my hips swinging left and right as I walked through the hospital halls. The male doctors and some patients' mouths fell open as I passed them, they whispered among themselves. “Isn't that Maria Maria?” They asked each other. Yes, I am Maria Maria, I changed my last name, there was no need to carry on my last name after they chased me out of the company. “I am sorry,” a man bumped into me. “I am sorry,” he apologized, with a bow and turned to go. “Michael,” I called. He paused immediately, turning back to me.“How do you know my name?” He asked, his brows furrowed in curiosity. Thirty minutes later we sat in a coffee shop, he sat quietly across the table sipping his coffee. “You seem to miss the coffee a lot,” I broke the silence. “I am trying to process all that you just said,” he revealed, dropping the cup on the table. “So you're telling me that you found m

I glanced around, it was definitely a hotel room but the man was nowhere to be found and there was nothing to show that anyone was there except me.
