Chapter 5

1st and 2nd classes had gone by and it was already lunch, the previous event still being the talk of the school as Tristan and his friends made their way to the cafeteria with Raven

“I'll just go to the bathroom" Raven excused herself

“Do you want me to come with you?" Hailey asked and Raven smiles before shaking her head

"Oh, alright then. Girl's bathroom is just at the end of the hallway” Hailey replies and Raven leaves

"Didn't know you had a nice side, I thought you were always a bitch” Gavin says and Hailey immediately glares at him

"Coming from an asshole like you?” Tristan remarks and Hailey smiles triumphantly as Gavin looks at his friend with disbelief

"I thought we were bros man” Gavin says dramatically and Tristan grimaces

"Alright since we're bros can you get me a meal set B with orange juice?” Tristan says and Hailey laughs as Gavin looked hopeful at the mention of being bros but his face immediately dropped upon hearing the order

"Damn you and I'm supposed to be the asshole? Isn't that you? Whatever… What's yours?” Gavin asks and turns to Hailey

"I'll take a set A with apple juice" Hailey replies and Gavin takes his leave to order

“Oh! Gavin! Order another Set B for me" Tristan exclaims and Gavin turns to give him an “Ok" sign before heading to the counter

“Ooh~ is it for your beloved Fiancé?" Hailey asks with hint of teasing in her voice, Tristan just rolls his eyes

“Who else? I don't eat much so why would I order another set?" Tristan replies and as if he was reminded, he looks around to spot Raven but she was still not around

“It's been minutes since Raven left… She just went to the bathroom, right?” Tristan asked and Hailey notices too

"Hey! Hey! There's a fight!”

The two turns towards the booming voice coming from outside and Tristan stands up to look at the commotion

"There's a fight? Where? You guys know that fights are not allowed” Tristan warns, of course his presidency is at work at the mention of "Fight”

"Oh! Tristan! Good timing, there's some girls fighting in the bathroom” A student said and Tristan's eyebrows furrowed, her turned to Hailey who was behind him and he pushes the students aside as they ran towards the bathroom

"Fxcking bxtch!”

Tristan stops at the door, he lets Hailey enter and what soon followed was a barrage of profanities from a voice they all were familiar with due to the earlier incident at the Gym

“My sister will hear about this Hailey!” Stacy comes out, her hair disheveled and her clothes looking like she had just gone through a storm

“See if I care Stacy" Hailey says as she comes out after the girl and raises her hand

“Hailey" Tristan calls out and Hailey stops

“What? She was pulling on Raven's hair, even slapping her so it's only fair that I do the same” Hailey says and Tristan’s eyebrows knitted, before he could say anything Raven comes out from behind Hailey. Her face bruised and her hair all over the place

"Stacy” Tristan calls out and the girl looks up at him

"Call your parents to the principal's office” Tristan says and Stacy screams

"You fxcking call your parents here or I send you to the hospital right this moment, you choose Stacy, your safety or your honor?” Tristan warns through gritted teeth as he turns to face Stacy

"I've made it clear that I didn't want anyone touching not even a single strand of Raven's hair and what did you do? I may be the student's President but I don't care if the school expels me if I lay my hand on you right now… It will bring my family shame but it won't matter as long as I do what you did to her so choose Stacy, you bring in your parents and be suspended for this or let's both be expelled for what I'm about to do” Tristan warns again and Stacy staggers backwards before lowering her head

"I'll expect to see them later” Tristan says as he shoves her aside and looks at Raven who was being helped by Hailey

"Give her here” Tristan said and Hailey turns to him

“She's not an ob—"

“Hailey I'm not in the mood to argue with you at the moment, can you give her to me now?" Tristan cuts her off and Hailey huffs before guiding Raven towards him

“I'm fine…” Raven says and Tristan scoffs

"You sure as hell don't look fine” Tristan replies and Raven avoids his eyes

“Can you walk to the infirmary?" Tristan asks and Raven nods her head but as she takes a step, her leg wobbles and she almost drops to her knees but Tristan was quick enough to hold her

“You're not a great liar, you know that?" Tristan says and Raven grunts. She was about to retaliate to Tristan's words but the boy lifts her up in his arms

“What are you doing!?" Raven asks, startled

“What does it look like? I'm carrying you to the infirmary dummy" Tristan replies and turns to Hailey

“Can you and Gavin bring our lunch to the infirmary?" Tristan asks and Hailey immediately nods

“Great, we'll just be there"

"Goodness me…” Was all the nurse said as she looked at Raven who looked like she had just come from a chicken fight

“Can you give us some ice please?" Tristan says and the nurse just noticed his presence, she immediately runs to grab a pack of ice as Tristan settled Raven down onto a bed

“I'm not injured" Raven says and Tristan looks at her

“Yes but you're bruised and can barely walk, can you shut up now and just let me treat you?" Tristan replies and Raven turns silent

“Why did you even get into a fight with her?" Tristan asked as he sat beside the bed

“I didn't! When I entered the bathroom no one was there so I did my business, while I was doing that someone entered and I assumed it was someone random who was also gonna use the bathroom, who knew it would be that girl?" Raven replied and the nurse hands Tristan an Ice pack

“Okay, then what happened? How did you end up looking like this?" Tristan asked

“She just suddenly grabbed my hair and started cussing at me, telling me it should've been her sister who's marrying you and not me" Raven replied as Tristan patted the ice pack against her bruise

"Her sister… Was my ex, I broke up with her because of her nature… I guess it's blood related” Tristan says and Raven kept her eyes on him

"Did she…"

“Not me… She hit my sister several times” Tristan’s voice became smaller and smaller

"Your… Sister?" Raven asked, it was known to everyone that Tristan was a sole heir to the company

“I had an adopted sister… She was one of the reasons why I went into fashion designing… She always wanted to create her own dress and I told her I would do that for her” Tristan explained and Raven silently listened

"But… During High School… While she was in Junior High I got into a relationship… She went through abuse from Stacy’s sister… I didn't know… Until it was too late” Tristan said, his hand shaking as he patted the ice pack on Raven's face

"She… Took her own life… Inside her own room… She wore the dress that I first made for her… And in her letter… She thanked me for making the best dress…” Tristan choked, his voice becoming hoarse as his eyes became teary

Raven was taken aback, she didn't know this… No one did, except the respective families that were involved

“Stacy’s sister was never found guilty… So she's still out and about but she doesn't go here anymore because of that…” Tristan says as he lifts his head and sets the melted ice pack to the side

"Oh! Hey! We brought your lunch! Gavin was being an ass in the cafeteria so we took long” Hailey beamed and Tristan stood from his seat

"Took you long enough, I'm gonna go ask the nurse if it's alright to eat here" Tristan says as he walked to the other side of the infirmary

“You look lost, is it about Stacy? Should I pull all her hair out for you?" Hailey asked as she sat next to Raven

“Uhm… No, I just spaced out since I don't feel the bruise anymore” Raven smiled and Hailey nods her head

"Nurse said it was alright but I'll just take my lunch… I'm gonna go to the office, I'm sure my parents have heard already” Tristan said and Gavin hands him his lunch

"Don't dwell on it Raven” Tristan says before going out and Raven wasn't sure if he was saying that for what had happened or what he had told her… But she sure wouldn't be able to just not dwell on it
