Chapter 3

“Tristan! Your mom is— What the hell is going on here?”

Tristan's head immediately turn to the door and he sees his father eyeing him and Raven, he instantly pulls herself up and walks towards his father

“Dad, why are you here? Weren't you doing something at the house with mom?” Tristan asked, trying to distract his father from what he had just witnessed

“Yeah we were cleaning... But I came here to borrow some tools because we were setting something up... Isn't that Kim's daughter?” He explains and asks, he pointed at Raven who was now sitting upright and fixing herself

“Hello, Sir…” Raven greets and turns to him, he looks at his son and the corners of his mouth lift up which made Tristan's eyes widen

“No... No, dad it's nothing like that” Tristan immediately says and his dad raises his eyebrows and crosses his arms

“But I haven't said anything yet?” He replies and Tristan grimaces as it sounded like he was guilty

“How have you been?” He asks and looks at Raven who awkwardly smiles at him

“I'm... I'm d-doing alright, sir…” Raven replied and he nods his head

“No need to call me sir... Also can you turn the TV off... I can still see them getting it on” He says and Raven immediately picks up the remote and turns the TV off

“Tristan it's not good to do it in this place, anyone could barge in, you should've done it in your room it's more spacious and—”

“Dad! Stop! It's not like that I swear! This was my old TV and it had old searches... Those movies were recommended by Gavin so I thought I'd watch it but I didn't like it so I just stopped... I didn't know it was still there” Tristan cuts his dad off and he looks at him

“Then why was it playing?” He asks

“It was an accident sir... We were searching for a movie to watch and when Tristan saw the movies on the TV he tried to grab the remote from me... And I got startled so I fell back and accidentally pressed the remote in the process” Raven replies this time

“And you were in that position because you fell on top of her I assume?” He asked and Tristan nods his head

“Okay... Oh! By the way your mom wanted me to tell you something” He says and Tristan looks at him

“She wants me to tell you that if you don't get married soon... She'll send you to America and you'll handle a branch there” He says and Tristan froze on his spot

“What!?” He exclaims and his dad immediately covers his ears

“At times like these you're really like your mom... Anyway yeah, she said that so if you don't want to get separated from your bestfriends and handle the main branch in the future... You have to get married” He replies and Tristan felt his soul leave his body

“Raven's your name right?” He suddenly asks and turns to Raven who was trying to escape from the awkward situation quietly, she stops in her tracks and clears her throat before nodding her head

“What do you say we make a deal? For both my son's sake and your father's” He asks and Tristan stares at him

“What do you mean sir?” Raven asked and He puts his arm around Tristan's shoulder before smiling

“Marry my son... You'll get your company back by becoming co-ceo with him and I'll even cut your family's debt in half” He explains and Tristan furrows his eyebrows

“Dad what the hell?” Tristan asked but his dad stayed firm and looked at Raven

“It... It doesn't need to be a love born marriage?” Raven asked and he smirks

“His mother doesn't need to know that you don't like each other... All she wants is for Tristan to get married, of course for me it'll be better if it was but right now I don't have a choice since we're fighting with a fire breathing dragon” He replies and Tristan instantly moves away from him

“Dad we already made a dea—”

“That deal... You'll win it as well if you marry her, I'm not one to back down on my words” He cuts him off and Tristan immediately gulps at the offer

Technically in that situation... Both him and Raven would gain what they want. He looks at Raven who seemed to be thinking about the offer as well, Tristan looks at his father and Raven raises her head as well. He smiles in triumph as both of them opened their mouths to reveal their answer

“Then we've got a deal!”

It had only been a day after the deal was sealed yet, Tristan and Raven sat right in front of Tristan's parents, already discussing when the wedding would be

“What about this week?” Tristan's mom excitedly asked and Tristan's dad smiled awkwardly as the two were definitely uncomfortable with the situation, given they'd only agreed to make this wedding because of their own benefits

“I think we should push it back a bit…” Tristan's dad adviced and Tristan looked at him before mouthing the words 'That's a first... You're helping me now dad?’

And he frowns before mouthing back 'I have no choice, you know how your mom is'

“2 weeks from now! That's the farthest we can push it” Tristan's mom said and Tristan grimaces... 2 weeks still wasn't long enough but he knows if he tries to negotiate with his mother she'd only grow suspicious

“T-that's fine mom... I'll get straight t-to planning” Tristan replies and Raven looks at him in shock before leaning

“Isn't two weeks a little early? I haven't even told my parents yet!” Raven whispers and Tristan leans as well

“Well, we have no choice... My mother might as well be a detective because once we start trying to negotiate dates and stuff she would only suspect something's up!... Besides you already agreed that you'd abide by everything I say, that's part of your job right now” Tristan whispers back and Raven eyes him, she huffs a sigh before pulling her head away. She turns to Tristan's mom and she was grinning at them which made Raven smile awkwardly

“I didn't know you two were this close! If we had known we should've arranged the marriage sooner!” Tristan's mom exclaimed and Tristan scratched his nape

“Calm down mom... Can we... Push this talk aside? We need to go back... We have to prepare for tomorrow, remember?” Tristan avoids the conversation and his mother looks at him

“Oh right! She's gonna be going to school with you tomorrow right?” She asks and Tristan nods

“Right! We don't want to bother your preparation for school tomorrow so go on ahead kids” Tristan's dad immediately urges them and Tristan doesn't hesitate to stand up and grab Raven's hand

“Then we'll get going now! Bye!” Tristan quickly pulls Raven to his car as he feared if he tried to make the farewell too long, his mother would only make them stay a bit more

“Fucking hell... That felt so awkward” Tristan mutters as they entered the car

“I didn't know your mom was so enthusiastic about the thought of you getting married” Raven said and Tristan sighs, shaking his head as he starts the car up

“She's the one who has been urging my dad to tell me to get married... I don't know why either but it's hella frustrating... But she's my mom, I can't say no to her” Tristan says as they drive away from his parent's house

“You're a Mama’s boy? I thought you were more of a Daddy's boy” Raven asked and Tristan glances at her

“Well you can't judge that, you're here because of your dad's debt” Tristan replies and Raven turns silent

“Okay that was rude... I didn't mean it like that” Tristan says as he noticed Raven’s silence

“You don't need to explain, stop talking to me... I feel dizzy... You drive so fast, it's making me feel woozy…”

“Uhm…” Jamie ponders on what to say as Tristan walks past her

“Get my car cleaned... Don't fucking dare mention it... I'm gonna take a bath” Tristan says as he walks to his room, Raven soon entered the door with a worried face

“I'm guessing you had a... Nice meal?” Jamie asks as she gives Raven a towel

“I ate too much because of the pressure and the pressure didn't die down... The car was too fast and... I ended up puking all over the front seats…”Raven explained and Jamie holds her laughter back

“You didn't have to explain the detail... I could already tell what happened due to Tristan's face... And his puke filled shirt and pants” Jamie replies and Raven just wanted the ground to swallow her because of embarrassment... She didn't mean to but conversation was going too fast for her and it made her really nervous

“You should get changed... Prepare your stuff for school tomorrow as well, Tristan leaves early for school” Jamie advises and pats Raven's shoulder, Raven bows at her before going to her room. She immediately soaks herself in the bath as she curses herself for the embarrassing moment she had gone through

Raven comes out of the bathroom and wraps herself up in her towel, she looks at her bed and she spots the folded clothes on top of it. She came closer and she immediately knew it was a uniform but her eyes catch the paper that was on it

"This is your new uniform, wear this instead of the other one -T"

She could've sworn that the uniform wasn't there when she entered her room, she looks at her door and sees the gap in-between

“He came to my room just to give me my uniform?” She thinks

Raven shrugs it off as she grabs a pair of clothes from her closet, she was about to lay down when her door suddenly swings open

“Oh! Sorry... I didn't know your door was open” Jamie said as Raven looked at her in shock

“No uhm... It's okay... I forgot to close it... Is there something you wanted to tell me?” Raven asks, of course it was a lie that she left the door open but she wasn't gonna say that Tristan left it open after leaving her school uniform on her bed

“Mr.Yoo called for you in the dining room” Jamie replies and Raven immediately stands up and grabs the maid uniform

“Ah! She also told me to tell you that you don't need to wear your uniform tonight since it's already and it would be a hassle” Jamie stops her and Raven looks at her

“O-kay?” Raven replied, weirded out. She was expecting that maybe Tristan called for her because of the incident in the car or the talk with his parents and so she thought she'd need to wear her uniform as she still is a maid

Jamie leads the way to the dining room and Raven followed behind her, the walk was silent as Raven pondered if Tristan was mad

As they reached the dining room Raven immediately looks at Tristan who was peacefully eating in his seat, when Jamie suddenly cleared her throat Tristan's head shot up to look in their direction

“Sit... Eat something, since you... Uhmm…” Tristan eyes Jamie who looked away, holding back her laughter

“Uhm, okay... By the way... I'm sorry... About that…” Raven replied, she again felt embarrassed as the incident got brought up

“It's fine you got pressured with the talk…” Tristan turns back to her plate and Winter silently sits on the chair in front of her

The two silently ate as Jamie watched over them, the other maids were already dismissed

“Uhm... Have a good night” Tristan says as he stands up and leaves the table, Jamie eyes him on the way out before going next to Raven

“That's a first” Jamie says and Raven looks at her, confused

“What is?” Raven asked and Jamie chuckles at her reaction

“He never eats with anyone whenever he's at home unless he's eating with his parents or friends... Also you're probably the first person to have heard him say goodnight he doesn't even say that to me” Jamie replies as she cleans the table while Raven remained confused with the whole situation

“It means you're definitely different from everyone else... Specially in his eyes”
