FORCED AND BULLIED
(IGNAS POV)
Have you ever been bullied so much that you feel numb and indifferent about it as time goes on?
Well, that's how I feel right now kneeling in front of the Alpha of my pack, as I was ordered to go with the healers of the pack to the place where war was happening, but it seems they forgot I was nothing but a weak woman without a wolf.
“Do you understand my order?!”
I woke up from my daze and looked at the old but heartless Alpha, he knew he might be pushing me to my death but he still went on heartlessly, making me wonder if he had a heart, but as it stands No one in this pack was nice and I don't even have a spec of hope they would listen to me if I say anything but would they?
“Alpha, you know I am without a Wolf, and going to the war is like delivering myself to death! You are aware right?” I asked the only question I had asked since I got here.
“Are you questioning the Alpha Ignas?! Besides you aren't the only healer going, and the others don't seem to be complaining. Seems you have forgotten you are just a weak fat girl without a wolf, and there is nothing for you to offer to the pack who had taken care of you since your parents died. Don't be ungrateful!” A sharp voice sounded in the hall.
Hearing her say that, you would think I was an ungrateful person, but every one of them knows everything is a lie! Since my parents died in a war at the age of ten. I have never been taken care of, I was cast aside especially when it was found out I didn't have a wolf, and could only live with the love of a human. I had learned the course of Healing from an old healer and the only person who had ever cared for me aside from my parents, but now that she is dead, I have been on my own again, surviving on the skill of healing and going to the forest to look for herbs for selling. I had gotten used to the daily life of being bullied and had learned to live with it. But why must they force me to a breaking point? They would never be okay if I was! It made me wonder if they were jealous of me, but I had to deny that because I had always been bullied for my chubbiness. So I never get the reason for me being bullied to the extent of being forced to go to war as a healer by those people.
I looked at the Alpha and suddenly smiled.
“My parents died to save this pack, they didn't think twice before sacrificing themselves. But if they ever knew I would be bullied, I bet they would have never done that. If I end up dying, please bury me next to my parents, thank you!” I said and without looking back to see their reactions, I left from there. I didn't want to see their faces as it disgusted me.
I returned to my run-down house as I needed to pack my necessities, even if I didn't have much. But there were some important things, like the writings of my old teacher, the writings are her hard-earned knowledge which she had passed down to me.
I entered the house and immediately took a bath and then sat down on the bed after getting dressed. I looked around this little home which was left behind by my dead teacher. Though the room was crampy and the furniture was broken, I made sure everywhere was neat. It was the habit I had gotten used to after living with my Teacher.
I stood up slowly and walked to the small and only mirror in the room. The girl looking back at me has a chubby and cute face with deep and lovely dimples. I have one of the most beautiful long and curly blonde hair that was now let down to dry. I looked just like my Mum, so I had never doubted my beauty. My parents were both gorgeous couples so my genes couldn't be bad at all.
I couldn't help but think about my love life as I looked at my beautiful self. I wonder why I still haven't met my mate. Like, other people get to meet their mate at the age of 18 or even less if their mate finds them. But I was already 20 years old but still haven't gotten a mate, which makes me wonder if the wolf gods have a dislike for me. I wouldn't be surprised though as I was used to being bullied and hated for no reason. I had first been filled with. Hope, and looked forward to getting my mate, but I had to let go after two years which added to the reason I am being bullied. It made me wonder to myself if I was truly part of the werewolf because I had no wolf and no mate.
I sighed softly as I patted my chubby face gently, “ Oh Ignas! Why do you need a Mate? I think it's better not to have a mate in this pack, every one of them is callous, and I don't want to get rejected by someone who isn't worth it!” I assured myself, forced a smile on my face, and then got ready to pack up my things and get ready for the journey tomorrow.
Ignas took a pack bag, packed the most important stuff inside then zipped it off. As I turned to put my bag aside, my eyes couldn't help but widen, I forgot about the book.
“How could I forget something this precious!” I couldn't help but slap my forehead lightly, then laugh at my silly self.
Looking at the book, I felt glad I had decided to learn about the skill of a healer and it had been helpful and fruitful. My teacher had praised me for my talents in healing which I am glad of.
Healers are just another word for doctors, as they are called by the human realm, but the werewolves call them healers. Putting the book inside my backpack, I lay on the bed to sleep as tomorrow was going to be a long day.
The Next Day.
The healers following the soldiers stood in front of the Alpha as he addressed them.
I looked at the Alpha talking with emotions that I knew were fake and felt disgusted. But do I have any other option but to keep listening to his dramatic words?
“Are you ready to go? Well, I wish you bad luck, haha! Fatty!” The voice of my Benita, the leader among my bullies whispered in my ear which startled me.
I replied, “Thank you for the opportunity Benita, and I am used to bad luck.”
“Oh! You are leaving this place so now you have the gut? But let me tell you fatty, you are just weak, Wolf less, so you will be killed in one week!” Benita's lips curled in disdain after she finished talking, making me cringe.
“Thank you for the reminder, I will stay out of the war so I won't be mistakenly killed by wolves. So bye, I am ready to go.” I felt so happy as I raised my head high up, and walked past her. This was the first time I won against my bullies, and it's made me so proud.
After the Alpha was done talking, we were ready to set out. And I knew this was just the beginning, as I didn't know what to expect. Would I be mistakenly killed off in a week as Benita said? Or I would survive.
PIERCING GAZE (IGNAS POV) We set off for the journey that day. The weather was cold and it got more chilly as they journeyed through the forest. I looked at the others who didn't feel like they felt anything, making me speechless. This was the advantage of having a wolf, which I don't have. We journeyed for hours before stopping to fill our stomachs and rest. I was at a disadvantage though, as the rest were physically stronger than me, so after a few hours of nonstop walking, I felt like dying already. “Hey, Fatty! Eat some bread and gain some straight, you have delayed us a lot. Why are you so weak?!” A healer who I had gotten to know named Galileo said as others laughed they cast disdainful gazes at me, which made me so uncomfortable, and I didn't feel like eating the bread anymore, but I had to force myself to. Galilei continued, “Seriously, I don't know why she got to follow us. She is an extra load. Fatty but with a weak body.” “Oh! About that, I heard she is a good h
HIS MATE (ALPHA LEO’S POV) This fight has been dragging on for so long and it was getting annoying. I don't know why the Alpha of that small pack couldn't just leave the lands and had to resort to fighting, even if he was aware he had no chance of winning but since that was what he wanted then I had to fulfill his wishes, so I sent my pack new soldiers who had just come out of training so they could gain experience, but I didn't expect the Full Moon pack to be so useless. I had to rush here when the fight was prolonged, and that was when I found out the opponents had been hiding and not wanting to fight. It got me speechless and after anger, I felt so angst, like who goes to war but not fight? Why did the opposite side declare war and then hide? So I knew I had to finish this myself, and that was how an easy fight turned brutal when he got involved. My wolf started getting restless and excited which was strange as the fight was not even intense, his wolf had always loved somethi
UNBEARABLE ATTRACTION (IGNAS POV) I watched the man whose eyes pierced my eyes, it was like he could see through my soul even when he was far away, which made me want to give myself to him. At that instant I knew something was wrong when my heart felt like it was burning and I could feel never before excitement in my body, i knew I had to escape from there at times because I couldn't control my body with his gaze on me. Then a chance to escape came when a soldier from the Full Moon pack attacked him from the back seeing he was in a daze. Taking that chance to escape, I ran away so fast, that I didn't even look at the injured soldier who was so angry and looked like he would beat me up when he got hold of me. I immediately ran inside the little space left for the female healers to sleep. Only a few unconscious ones were lying down on the mat at this moment, I looked around in case he had followed and only sat down when I didn't notice any movement. My chest kept beating so fast
(Ignas' POV)His surprised face almost sent me into fits of laughter. Mighty Alpha Leo, the brutal leader of the Dominic Pack, looked like a fish just out of water. I watched him, his after-shock face rolling from one confusion into another, and a smile crept inside. Never have I thought I would ever see such a terrifying Alpha this unsure.“Having a good time?" I taunt. "Is this all a big game to you? You think it's funny to pretend like I am your mate?”He stared at me, his dark eyes chasing mine, as if he didn't understand what I had said. I felt this weird satisfaction, like taunting him was some kind of victory that I needed after all I'd been through. And when I turned, ready to walk away from him and the storm of emotions he'd stirred up, his hand caught my arm, holding me firmly in place."Wait," he said, his voice low but commanding. "What do you mean by that? What are you trying to say, you have no wolf?”I stood there, my heart pounding, and anger rising in me. He stared a
Deep Conversation (Alpha Leo's POV)I watched her small figure disappear into the distance, a smirk twisting my lips. She actually thought she could walk away, just leave and forget the spark of the bond flaring to life between us. Cute. The temptation to pull her back into me, to make her mine right here and now was too huge. I made myself stay in place, though, fists clenched in hopes it would hold at bay the possessiveness bubbling up inside me. Is it Normal to feel this? this raw desperate need to claim someone I'd just met?My wolf growled in response, as if reminding me of the answer. She's your mate; that's what happens.I knew it was supposed to be this all-consuming magnetic pull when finding a mate, but I'd convinced myself long ago that wasn't going to happen with me. Years passed, and well, I'd grown accustomed to the fact that the Moon Goddess had other plans for me. I'd accepted a lone Alpha, one that didn't have anyone by his side. And yet, here she was…Ignas. Heavy Heart(Ignas' POV)I came back to camp as quietly as one could, stepping light without the slightest noise that could make somebody notice. The last thing I needed was that anybody noticed my absence and started asking questions. I had enough attention this night, more than enough confusion. It swirled through my mind, the memory of his piercing gaze, the possessiveness in his tone when he'd called me "mate." I let a wry laugh loose into the still night. How fucking absurd was this? Why, when I'd finally let go of the idea that I'd ever have a mate, did the Moon Goddess decide to give me one now?And not some insignificant person either, but a powerful, dangerous Alpha from the Dominic Pack, the enemy pack. That just about covered it for cruel jokes as far as I knew, almost as if I was being punished for doing something that I didn't even know I had done.If my mate had been somebody normal, some uncomplicated decent man, I would have thanked my stars. A Boring War(Alpha Leo's POV)Morning came with the clanging of men in training, the ripple of laughter across the camp, and the clash of weapons in simulated combat outside. Boisterous, it was, from without, but inside my quarters, I lay still, my mind not on routines and drills of my men.All I could think about were the conversations from yesterday-the possibility, however slight, that Ignas had been poisoned. It was truly a bitter taste in my mouth. Who would go to such an extent to hurt her? My rational mind wanted to shut it down-to believe she was weak-but something far inside of me couldn't let it be. She had been poisoned, then whoever was responsible would suffer. Badly. As my mind wandered, I could almost see an image of Ignas: the way she'd walked away from me yesterday, her back rigid with resolve, her cheeks puffed in frustration, her dimples showing when glaring at me. She had been so full of fire. But below that too, I'd seen the sadness, the way her face softened wh
Chapter 9: The Bond is Real(Ignas' POV)The silence that settled between us was thick, weighted in tension I could not ignore. I watched Leo step out of the shadows, his big frame silhouetted against the faint moonlight. Those piercing eyes of his locked on mine, and for a moment, I wanted to look away-to shield myself from the weight of his stare. But I didn't.I didn't budge, my back straight and my chin high. If he thought I was going to wilt under his presence, then he had another thing coming. I wasn't that weak. Not anymore."You've been following me," I said, breaking the silence.Leo didn't bat an eyelid. "I wanted to see you."His tone was light, but what was underneath those words hit a lot heavier than I thought it would. Crossing my arms over my chest, buffering myself from whatever game he played, I said, "Why? So you can convince me I'm your mate again? You're wasting your time, Alpha.""Am I?" Chapter 12: His Jealousy 1(Ignas' POV)The growling grew louder, each rumble quickening my heartbeat. I looked up at the shadows, my feet taking slow steps back towards the nearest tree, all of my instincts screaming to run."Who's there?" I called out again, my voice firmer than I felt. For a moment, there was nothing but silence. Then, from the darkness, a low chuckle rose, sending a ripple down my spine."Easy, healer," a low voice said, preceded by the creaking of footsteps.A figure strode forward into the moonlight, and in an instant, I placed the face-the soldier I had treated a few days past. His smirk was wide, his keen eyes glinting with mischief, as he sauntered toward me with a lazy stride."You should've seen your face," he said, still laughing casually, as if with a tree beside them. "I didn't think you'd be scared that easily."I watched him, my chest still rising up and down from the adrenaline pumping in my veins. "Y-you were growling?" I asked again, this time tryin
Chapter 11:The Injured(Ignas' POV)Morning light, flecked and gold, worked its way through the trees but brought little serenity in its wake. My hands moved automatically, crushing herbs into a fine paste, yet my mind was far from the healer's camp; it was with him.Leo.Even the sound of his name could twist my stomach, though I wasn't sure if it was anger or something altogether different. My lips still tingled, faintly, from the kiss we'd shared or rather, the kiss he'd stolen. That my body had betrayed me, hadn't pulled away immediately, had let me feel… something, was something I truly hated."Darn it," I growled under my breath, crushing the herbs harder than necessary."Careful," a voice said behind me. "You'll grind that into dust if you're not careful."I turned to find Tessa, one of the other healers, standing with an impish grin on her face. She was younger than me, barely eighteen, but sharp-tongued and quick-witted, which placed her years ahead. She was also one of the few p

He didn't say a word, but his eyes burned with an intensity that made me want to step back, even as my body refused to move.It was all Leo could manage to do before he stooped down again, his lips taking mine with even greater urgency. My breath caught, my hands instinctively shoving at his chest to push him back, but the effort felt weak, useless. This time, the kiss wasn't just heated, it was possessive, as though he needed me to feel what he couldn't put into words. His grip at my waist tugged tighter, pulling me closer, and I could feel the thrum of his heartbeat through the thin space between us.I wanted to fight it. I needed to fight it. But with every shift of his lips against mine, I felt the will being stripped away from me until there was only the raw, undeniable pull of the bond. When he finally pulled back, I gasped, st
