UNBEARABLE ATTRACTION
(IGNAS POV)
I watched the man whose eyes pierced my eyes, it was like he could see through my soul even when he was far away, which made me want to give myself to him. At that instant I knew something was wrong when my heart felt like it was burning and I could feel never before excitement in my body, i knew I had to escape from there at times because I couldn't control my body with his gaze on me. Then a chance to escape came when a soldier from the Full Moon pack attacked him from the back seeing he was in a daze. Taking that chance to escape, I ran away so fast, that I didn't even look at the injured soldier who was so angry and looked like he would beat me up when he got hold of me.
I immediately ran inside the little space left for the female healers to sleep. Only a few unconscious ones were lying down on the mat at this moment, I looked around in case he had followed and only sat down when I didn't notice any movement. My chest kept beating so fast when I remembered that moment.
It was late at night, and everything grew silent, the thought of sleeping never crossed my mind at all, and my eyes couldn't close because my heart was not relaxed. My mind keeps thinking about that Man.
“Who is he? Why do I feel that way?” it's a question I keep asking myself, but can't seem to find an answer.
I was still trying to get an answer to my questions when my mouth was suddenly covered which gave me a shock, and seeing who did that was a bigger surprise to me. I looked at him in shock and when I looked into his dark eyes, I felt terrified.
“Why was he here?! Is he here to harm me? Have I done anything wrong that attracts this man’s attraction?” Questions kept popping into my head but the man didn't seem to care to answer me as all he did was shut me up and suddenly carried me and left the room taking me to who knows where. I didn't know what gave me the courage to bite his palm covering my mouth.
He yelled, “Ouch!” He looked at me with a deadly eye, which caused shivers in my body.
“I am sorry! Sorry! You were covering my mouth tightly, I couldn't breathe!”
I peeped at him and saw his eyes grow soft which surprised me a bit. He looked like a powerful man who was Ruthless to people who offended him.
“What's your name?” He asked as he focused on me with a serious face.
My mind was raised with thoughts as I kept guessing why he would ask, but I decided to be truthful. “Ignas…My name is IGNAS!”
“IGNAS…”
The sound of his voice as he pronounced my name caused shivers to run down my body, I couldn't help wanting him to say my name again, but I had to hold myself. The sound of my name on his tongue was like a seductive whisper, wanting to lure out my soul and make me want to submit to him.
I questioned, “Wh..who are you?” I wanted to know what was going on and why I was being kidnapped by him at the end of the night.
“You wanna know?” He asked with a captivating smile on his face. I couldn't stop my heart from beating fast again which was strange to me.
“Yes! I told you mine.”
He suddenly laughed as he looked at me, making me confused, I don't think I had said anything funny that caused laughter.
“My name is Leo Packer, the Alpha of the Dominic Pack. I need you to confirm something!” He answered seriously, looking at him in confusion.
Confused, I asked, “Confirm what…Hmphf!”
My mind grew blank as his mouth covered mine, I couldn't think of anything but look at him in shock as he placed his lips on mine. Then it occurred to me that I was being harassed.
I fumed with anger, “How dare he?!” But it felt good, I could feel my heart beating so fast. I didn't know when I placed my hands around his neck as I tiptoed to meet his lips and deepen the kiss.
He groaned, “Argh!” then tightened his hands around my waist and drew me closer.
I felt my pores open, my spirit refreshed, and my soul accepting. I didn't know this feeling, but it was so refreshing like I had found a peaceful abode, which made me addicted.
After like eternity, he released my lips, but I still couldn't get past that feeling. It was soulful and refreshing.
“Mate! Mine, you are mine!”
His deep seductive growl woke me up from my daze. I looked at him with confusion until what he said settled in my head, making me look up in shock.
“Mate?! How could it be?!” I whispered unbelievably.
“What do you mean by that? Can't you feel it? The attraction, the heartburn? The feelings? Didn't your wolf give you a signal?” Leo asked me in confusion and I shook my head negatively, which made him more confused.
“I didn't feel anything, only pain at first, that's all! So how come you are my mate? This is ridiculous! I already passed the age of getting a mate! So how could you be my mate?” I denied his words immediately.
Leo’s eyes glowed with anger after he heard me. “What do you mean by that?! Are you telling me I am making a mistake here? I am not a fool and I know you are my mate! Or do you have someone? Because I know you can't have two mates! Besides, I am 27 years old, and you are my first mate, so what do you mean by you pass the age of getting a mate?! Answer me!” He questioned.
“It's impossible because I am without a wolf! I am a nobody! Why would the moon goddess make a man like you my mate? And to crown it all both our packs are enemies! So how could I be your mate?!
(Tessa & Ignas’ POV alternating)(Tessa’s POV)I knew sneaking into the war library was reckless.Stupid, even. But I also knew that the scroll I found in Leo’s lockbox was older than anything used in recent battles. The seal on it wasn’t just Dominic Pack authority—it bore an emblem I’d only seen once before: a howling wolf with its chest split open, and thirteen crescent marks circling it.The Thirteenth Howl.No one in the pack dared speak of it. But if Ignas was somehow connected… she needed answers. And so did I.The war library was buried beneath the Alpha’s tent—a hidden door leading into a tunnel of stone walls and ancient warding sigils. Only Leo, Liam, and two archivists were allowed beyond it.But they’d made a mistake trusting me as a healer.I knew the scent of the root needed to paralyze the door ward. I knew how to dilute a blend of Silverleaf and Black Lace vine to bypass the sigil that burned flesh. And now, here I was, inside the forbidden room—scrolls everywhere, pa
Firebound(Ignas’ POV)The masked assassin didn’t hesitate.Flames exploded from his palm, hissing like wild serpents as they coiled toward us. Leo shoved me behind a standing stone, taking the full hit of the fire blast across his shield. The explosion cracked against the rune-covered stone like thunder.I screamed, “Leo!”“I’m fine,” he growled, his voice a strained rasp. “Stay behind me.”But I could see the way he staggered when he turned back, the singed edges of his cloak, the blood dripping from a cut near his jaw. Whatever shielding he’d used, it had only held for the first hit.The masked Flame-Born stalked toward us with eerie calm, fire licking up his arms, his eyes glowing through slits in the mask.“You weren’t supposed to awaken, girl,” he said in a distorted voice. “Your wolf should have stayed buried.”Leo raised his blade. “You picked the wrong Alpha to threaten.”The assassin laughed darkly. “I don’t care about you, Dominic dog. She’s the one we want. The one our anc
The Voice Beneath the Blood Moon(Ignas’ POV)When I finally opened my eyes, everything was still. The sky had darkened above us, shadows stretching long between the trees, and the wind carried a low, howling whistle that didn’t belong.Leo was crouched beside me, his arm still braced around my waist, his eyes glued to my face with pure concern.“Ignas?” he asked gently, brushing a damp strand of hair from my forehead.I blinked slowly. “I saw her. My mother… She was running. Through fire. Holding a bundle—me, I think.”Leo tensed. “Fire?”I nodded. “She was trying to get away. There were wolves in cloaks. They were chasing her. She… she whispered something before the vision ended.”“What did she say?” he asked.I swallowed. “She said, ‘If she ever awakens, tell her—don’t trust the flame-born.’”Leo stiffened. My chest tightened. “Does that… mean something to you?”He hesitated. “There’s an old rumor. The Flame-Born Wolves—they were a faction of fire-aligned warriors. Charred red fur,
(Ignas’ POV)It had started again. That low hum beneath my skin.A strange flicker of light in the corners of my vision. Whispers that didn’t reach my ears, but curled around my spine like smoke. My senses—heightened. My instincts—louder. The bond was no longer the loudest thing inside me.Something older… something buried… was waking up.And it terrified me.I’d never wanted power. I just wanted peace. Belonging. A place where I didn’t have to keep proving my worth to people who had already decided it didn’t exist. Now, with one letter, one vision, and one truth—I was a beacon.A hunted one.Tessa’s voice pulled me back to the present.“I found something,” she whispered, slipping into my tent like a shadow. Her eyes were bright, cheeks flushed from running.“What?”“In Madam Theresa’s book. The old journal she left you. There’s a page I’d never noticed before. It was stitched into the spine—hidden.”She pulled out the book from her satchel. A thin leather journal, frayed and worn. Sh
Echoes of Power(Ignas’ POV)I thought I was dreaming again. The world around me was strange—blurry, half-suspended in a haze of silver light. The trees glowed as if moonlight had soaked into their bark, and the ground beneath my bare feet pulsed with energy.I walked forward, uncertain.Every step felt… right. Like I’d done this before. Then I heard it.A whisper. My name.“Ignas…”I turned, searching for the voice. But the forest answered only with silence. The leaves rustled as if the wind were trying to speak, but no words came. Then, out of the shadows, a figure emerged.A woman. She wore a deep blue cloak, long white hair cascading down her back. Her eyes—moonlight silver—glowed as they locked onto mine.“You’re not ready,” she said softly.I tried to speak, but my mouth wouldn't form words.“You’ve been hidden. Suppressed. But the bond inside you is awakening. And when it does… they’ll come.”My heart pounded. “Who are you?” I finally whispered. She stepped closer, lifted a han
The Suppressed Truth(Ignas’ POV)Something was different about Leo when he came to me.The moment he stepped into the healer’s tent, I felt it. His eyes weren’t just sharp—they were conflicted, haunted. He’d always carried shadows beneath that fierce exterior, but this… this was different. He was hiding something.“Walk with me,” he said quietly.I didn’t ask questions. Just nodded, wiped my hands, and followed him out into the evening air.We walked in silence, side by side, the wind brushing our cloaks like whispers trying to speak what we wouldn’t say aloud. The camp was unusually still for a night before battle. Too quiet. When we reached the forest line, he stopped.I turned to him. “What’s going on?”He didn’t meet my eyes.Instead, Leo reached into his coat and pulled out something wrapped in aged leather. He handed it to me.A document.I stared at it. My name was written at the top.“I found this,” he said. “In a hidden vault my mother left behind.”I unfolded it slowly. My
