I turned around to pick up another arrow when I saw my mother approaching me. The arrow instantly forgotten, I met her halfway.

"Mom, why are—"

"There's a guard from the alpha with a message for you," She looked up at me with a happy smile.

Ever since the incident with Sophia and since she heard Rafael's leniency towards her, she's been looking for a way to express her gratitude to him but was too embarrassed to go to the packhouse.

Now that a guard has come for me, she was overwhelmed with joy. "Come with me quickly. Don't keep him waiting."

She took my hand and pulled me without giving me a chance to speak. Nevertheless, I gave up and let her pull me out.
