"What are you talking about?" Rafael pulled away and I could see his tear stained face. It was the first time seeing him cry and I didn't know how to comfort him but I could distract him.

We had bigger problems. Now I know what Vespera kept yapping about in my dream. She knows his curse is broken and it's because of me but how that happened is what I don't understand.

Rafael wiped his eyes and asked me again, "Who were you talking about? What do you suddenly understand?"

"Rafael," I held his arms and told him. "Vespera knows your curse is broken."

His brows knitted and he frowned. "How is that possible? We only just found out today."

"No..." I shook my head. "She placed the curse. It's reasonable she knows it was broken but somehow, she thinks it has something to do with me. She thinks I broke the curse. That is why she is after me."

Rafael remains silent but I could tell his mind was wandering. "I didn't even do anything. How could I have broken your curse?"
