LIAM’S POV

When Mason told me to hurry, that in most cases if a kidnapper called, they transferred their victims to another location in case their location had been found out, I never expected to find out that Eve was behind their kidnapping.

Nor did I expect to find out that he had lived with me since childhood. I made a mental note to tell her that, even though Maya didn't show up, I would never have had romantic feelings for her.

I saw her like a younger sister, and even imagining having any romantic feelings for her seemed gross to me.

I was glad that we had gotten my kids, and they were playing and talking throughout the drive home as though they didn't just witness a fierce shootout.
