MAYA’S POV

“So I approached Chloe to talk to her on behalf of Liam. I didn't know he had mustered up the courage to speak to her, and when we both saw him coming, she….” Silver paused and swallowed nervously.

“She what?” I asked him curiously, urging him to complete what he was saying.

“She kissed me,” he said, making me gasp.

I thought I knew Chloe, but listening to Silver now made me very sure that Chlor had a disgusting character.

“Did she know that you were friends with Liam?” I asked just to be sure.

“She did. Thereafter, Liam thought I betrayed him and stopped talking to me, and I became angry that he believed I would actually betray him. That's our story.” He completed and clasped his palms together.

I now realized one thing for sure, which was that I wasn’t going to work with Silver now that I resigned my job from Liam’s company.
