Sade POV

I rang the bell of the house and waited outside, taking a deep breath of confidence. The glow of the lamps in the garden cast a soft glow on the white marble walls of the manor. Hydrangeas fluttered in the cool wind and vines of orange and red bell-flowers that hung from the rooftop swayed, their fragrance wafting in the air. Jealousy shredded my heart. Violet had a dream-like existence, but I would soon make it a living nightmare.

The butler of the house opened the door. As if expecting me, he bowed to me. “Master Dave is in his room. You can wait in the main hall. Niti will come to fetch you.”

I smiled as I entered. “Has Alpha Dane returned?” I asked, trying to be as nonchalant as possible.

“No, Miss Sade,” he replied, closing the door behind me. “He doesn’t return so soon.”

I knew, and that was why I was going to stay a little longer. For the night. After all, I knew I had to warm his bed for the entire night.
