Chapter 7

Maya's eyes fluttered, as the sun rays filtered through the window, and rested on her face. She stifled a yawn, as she stretched lazily. For the first time in years, she had a somewhat peaceful night rest. The bed had been so soft that she could barely keep her eyes open. Occasionally, she was bothered by the fact that she was in Grey's room, and he could walk in at any moment, and either drag her out, or force her to stay in the bed with him.

That would be nice, her wolf, Alysia said in a cocky way.

Shut up, you should be thinking of ways to escape this place, and not dirty thoughts, Maya said, scolding her.

She looked at the other side of the bed, and realized that Grey had not showed up in the room since last night. She had just being worried without a reason. Did I inconvenience him? She thought aloud.

She got up from the bed, and since she got into Grey's room, she was finally able to notice the details his room entails. She noticed his walls were a color of dark grey, and the long armchair was an ash color leather. The floors were made of marbles, and the huge curtains draped on the windows were ash grey in color. The room was wide and spacious, and his closet area was grey too, and so was the drawer at the side of the bed. She noticed the bedsheets of the bed was grey ash and the bedstand, dark grey. The center rug in the room was of grey ash. She shook her head as a slight smile tugged at the corner of her lips. Was he liking and using these colors because of his name? She wondered. She guessed that was why he was cold, and the way he was.

The only thing that was not grey in the room was the ceiling decor, and the looping chandelier in the middle that radiated a florescent light. Grey's room screamed masculine. She got up from the bed just as the door opened. Three omegas walked into the room, and Gwen was one of them. They had their eyes on the floor, except for a particular blonde that kept stealing unknown glances at Maya.

"Good morning, luna," Gwen said.

"Good morning." She replied with a faint smile.

"We're here to tidy up, and get you ready to meet the elders, and other members of the pack." Gwen said.

Maya swallowed hard, and gave a slight nod. The blonde girl went over to the windows to drape the curtains apart, and sunlight whisked into the room. "Please," Gwen said, gesturing to the bathroom, and Maya nodded, knowing what was expected of her as she walked towards the bathroom. She got into the bathroom, and her eyes widened in awe and surprise. It was the cleanest and most fancy bathroom she had ever seen. It was totally different from the ones she had seen in her pack. The two sides of the walls in opposite directions were of grey ash, and the wall closest to the white bathtub was a scrambled mixture of dark grey and ash. The sink cabinet was of grey ash, and the floor was dark grey. He's so obsessed with these two colors. What kind of a man is this? She wondered.

You'll get to know soon, Alysia said to her.

I don't want to know, Maya said as she took off her ragged flimsy dress. I just want to get out of here, she added.

And go where? Back to the Oasis pack?  Alysia scoffed.

No, but, I want to be anywhere but here. We've heard about Grey. He's no good news, Maya said as she got into the bathtub, filled with water, and scented oils.

He hasn't killed you, yet, Alysia said.

Should I wait for him to? Maya scoffed, as she rolled her eyes. Alysia retreated as she realized she couldn't convince her otherwise. Maya didn't want to be the Luna of the Dark Moon pack. She felt she wasn't cut out for it, and besides, she didn't want to be anywhere near Grey.

A few minutes later, she walked out of the bathroom, and Gwen was already standing with a towel. She noticed that a dress had already been laid out for her on the bed. As soon as she handed the towel to Maya, the door to the room opened, and Grey walked in. His eyes met hers, and Maya let out an inaudible gasp as she quickly placed the towel in front of her body, covering her nudity.

Grey's eyes didn't leave hers, and without a word from him, the omegas knew it was time to leave. They hasten out of the room, shutting the door behind them. Grey's icy blue eyes were fixed on her brown orbs, before traveling down her finely shaped legs. Maya swallowed, as she nervously tried to wrap the towel around her body.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him, her heart in her throat.

Grey raised a brow, wondering if she was that stupid to ask him such a question. "This is my room," he reminded her, just in case she had forgotten.

"Yes, but I'm in here, and you should have announced your presence," she said, as she was able to tie the towel loosely around her body.

Grey advanced towards her in a slow determined steps, and Maya in turn retreated slowly from him. She was scared, but was refusing to show that to me. No one has seen her weakness, and neither would he.

"Tell me, what would you want? A trumpet sound or a set of drumrolls?" Grey asked her, as he kept walking towards her.

"A knock would do," Maya said, still backing away.

Grey let out a dry chuckle. "This is my room, brown eyes," he said, and Maya let out a gasp as her back met with the wall. He had her cornered to the wall, the scoundrel! She thought, despite her heart in her throat. "And I do not need to announce my presence," he said, as his body got closer to hers.

Maya heaved, unable to breathe properly. His masculine essence was clouding her senses. She could feel an electrifying wave that she had never felt before. She was sure it was out of fear for this man standing before her, with his lips inches away from hers.

"What do you want?" She asked in a panicked voice.

"You." He said, without breaking his eye contact with her.
