Kit’s POV

“If you don’t feel safe here, I can send some of my men to protect you and Damian.” Alpha Jace says to me, as we stand outside by his vehicle, while he is getting ready to leave me here alone with my father.

There was no threat that I felt that his men were needed here, that they could help me with. What I needed was moral support from my father, and that was just something that he could only give me. “No, I will be fine. There’s no need to send your men here.” I told him, secretly wishing that he could stay with me, because I felt safer from my father with him around, knowing that he would stand up for me against him. But with him leaving now, I didn’t have to worry about my father slipping up, telling him about the pills I took all those years ago to suppress my wolf.
