Kit’s POV

A few more days had passed, and my sister finally returned to see our father, and I decided to take the day and spend it outside with Damian, since we haven’t had much time together since we got here, but thankfully Damian had been very understanding of his grandfather's condition and has kept himself occupied. Today though, he looked happier than ever since my sister brought her son along, and I watched as the two of them played together as cousins should, outside on the playset and in the sandbox.

The fresh air felt inviting, as the cool breeze tickled my skin, replenishing my lost energy from taking care of my father nonstop for days now, and my father hadn’t let up on his hurtful words and expressing his feelings towards me.
