Kit’s POV Hours ticked by as I watched the clock, nervous if or when Dom would come back. In my heart I knew that he would do everything in his power to be with me, but I honestly didn’t know if it would be enough to stand up to his ruthless father. My worries must have gotten the best of me, because for most of the day I have spent in the bathroom, not able to keep anything down. The thought of having food poisoning from the restaurant had passed, as it now became more of a nausea to just the smell of food. Thankfully my heat felt like it was gone, because I didn’t know how I would handle both at once. Thinking that some fresh air would do me some good, I decided to go for a walk down by the lake, but quickly realized that too was a bad idea, as every smell in the air felt intensified, and I had to now wonder if my wolf was messing with me once again with the absence of Dom. It was as if my body was in morning without him here with me,
Kit’s POV As soon as Dom’s eyes met with mine, he moved to me, wrapping his arms around me, pulling me close to him, and I could feel his need for my touch. It was obvious that something had gone bad with his father, and I just prayed that his father didn’t exile him from becoming the Alpha because of me. I wanted to ask him what had happened, but I kept silent, as I wanted him to tell me of his own free will, letting him hold me in his arms, allowing him to take in my scent to calm him, as I could feel his body shake within my embrace. “I’m sorry.” Finally came from his lips, but it felt like it was coming from his heart, as I could feel the pain of his words deep within my soul. He didn’t need to tell me that his father had rejected his proposal, because I could already tell by the pain in his voice that this thing between us wasn’t going to happen, even with the blessing of the Moon Goddess, or with our baby that grew within me. His f
Kit’s POV The pain in Dom’s eyes now disappeared as if something else took over his emotions and I knew it was from what I had said to him. I knew by telling him that I was accepting Alpha Jace’s proposal it would make him hate me, but I knew this was the only way that he was ever going to let me go. “You’re just saying that.” Dom now says to me now with the look of a mixture of disbelief and shock in his eyes as he tries to step towards me once again, but I put my hand up to stop him. “Dom, stop. You have to know that this isn’t fair to ask of me. Just let me go Dom. Let me leave this pack and all the bad memories here. Let me go live my life somewhere I don’t have to see you daily, reminding me that we can never be together. Like I said before, if you care about me Dom, then let me go, so that maybe I can eventually find happiness.” I beg him, hoping that he will let me go, so that I can be free from everything here, and protect our ch
Kit’s POVSeven Years Later… Over the years there was no hiding the fact that my son came from Alpha’s blood, but thankfully no one questioned who his father was, especially since Alpha Jace treated him like his own. For years now, Alpha Jace and I were playing an interesting game of cat and mouse with each other, but I hadn’t allowed myself to commit to him, even after everything that he had done for me and my son. But as the years went on, and my heart began to slowly heal, feelings started to develop for the Alpha and his very loving manner towards me. It was clear that he had no intention of taking a Luna if it wasn’t me, and I had to wonder at times what it was that intrigued him so much about me, especially when I had to be saved by him in my darkest hour. “Family, friends, and pack members, I am so elated that you could all join me tonight for the celebration of the Strawberry Moon. This moon only happens about every
Kit’s POV Of all the moons he could have picked, he had picked the blood moon to seal our union, making locked away memories resurface. Even with my best efforts to try and block those memories, they still came flooding back to me like a tsunami. Trying my best to hold down the emotional state I was in at that moment, I forced a smile onto my face, making everyone that congratulated us not aware of what was truly going on inside of me. It wasn’t until we were back at the estate, and safely in my room did I left my emotions break free. It had been years since I had shed a tear for what could have been, but tonight they freely flowed from my eyes making up for the years that I hadn’t. As I looked into the mirror in my bathroom trying to calm myself, I told myself that I needed to move on from all of this. Trying to wipe the tears from my eyes, I told myself that I would be a fool to mess this up between Alpha Jace and mysel
Kit’s POV When morning came the next day, I made my way with Damian down to breakfast as we do every morning together, but as we made our way downstairs, everyone that we passed stopped in their tracks, lowering their heads to me as if I was royalty, as they said, “Good morning, Luna.” Which through me off guard that the news had spread so quickly among the pack.Plus, I was not used to this type of treatment from the staff at the house. I had always been treated kindly, but they had always seen me as a guest of the Alpha. Now I guess I was being considered the lady of the house, along as their luna of the pack, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable, if I was being honest. For the past seven years I had been keeping my head down, trying to keep a low profile, so that my family had no clue where I had run off to, but now there was no hope in trying to maintain that. I was sure that if the word traveled within the pack, it would soon travel back to my family of Alpha Ja
Kit’s POV Damian and I finished our breakfast just in time for Alpha Jace to reappear in the dining room, and when he looked at me, I could see the look of concern in his eyes, before he looks at Damian and says, “Hey buddy, why don’t you go outside and play on the swing set for a moment, while your mother and I have an adult conversation.” “Okay, daddy.” Damian said as he got up from his chair and took off outside just as Alpha Jace had asked him to do. Worry began to fill me at that moment why he needed to have an adult conversation with me without Damian being in the room, and I knew whatever Beta Gauge had told him had to concern me. Alpha Jace moved to his chair and took a seat, and I could see the look of frustration in his eyes now, which told me, whatever it was, it wasn’t good. Alpha Jace then reached for my hands taking them into his, as he looked into my eyes telling me, what he was about to say, was going to e
Kit’s POV Even after the news from my family, Alpha Jace kept his word of spending the day together to Damian, after I had washed my face and reapplied my makeup and pulled myself back together. But as I now stood in front of the lionesses’ enclosure, my eyes were glued on one particular mother and her cub. The mother seemed to be overprotective of the little cub, as the others tried to come near it, and I had to wonder why she was not allowing the others around it, since the rest were happily playing together. But as the little guy went to stand, I realized that he was hurt, and she was trying to keep him safe from the others. The little cub tried to move towards where the other cubs were playing, but the mother stopped him by the cuff of his neck pulling him back to her. It was clear that he just wanted to go and play with the other cubs, but because of his limp, she was trying to keep him safe from anyone further hurting him.
