Kit’s POV

Hours ticked by as I watched the clock, nervous if or when Dom would come back. In my heart I knew that he would do everything in his power to be with me, but I honestly didn’t know if it would be enough to stand up to his ruthless father.

My worries must have gotten the best of me, because for most of the day I have spent in the bathroom, not able to keep anything down. The thought of having food poisoning from the restaurant had passed, as it now became more of a nausea to just the smell of food. Thankfully my heat felt like it was gone, because I didn’t know how I would handle both at once.

Thinking that some fresh air would do me some good, I decided to go for a walk down by the lake, but quickly realized that too was a bad idea, as every smell in the air felt intensified, and I had to now wonder if my wolf was messing with me once again with the absence of Dom.
