Chapter 79

Adira’s POV

I must have passed out from the pain because when I opened my eyes, I was in the infirmary and Stella was looking down at me. “There you are. That was a close one.” Stella said to me with a smile now on her face and I had to wonder what the heck had happened.

The wound that Racheal had given me didn’t seem so bad but all I remember was the amount of blood I was losing from it. “What happened?” I asked Stella as she remained standing over me.

“That traitor Racheal poisoned you with wolfbane. My guess is she had it in that god awful black fingernail polish she was wearing.” Stella told me and anger filled me that she cheated during our match. I couldn’t believe that I was worried about her blood being on my hands when she planned to kill me this whole time. I was now beginning to realize that it was becoming a kill or be killed reoccurring situation for me.
